I want to join the National Guard as either an MP or 88M but i want to know more about it?

Ive talked to Army Reserve already and decided against it (personal reasons)
Does anyone out there regret joining the NG or any suggestions on anything

You can be a 31B or 88M in the Guard or Reserves. You're looking at about the same benefits. If the Reserves have a closer unit, you'll probably be doing yourself a disservice. If you're planning on going to school, your state might offer a better tuition program worth a few hundred dollars a year. I'm happy with the Guard, but i did it because I wanted to get into combat arms.

What are you looking for in the NG that the reserves could not offer you?

You really want to join a Guard unit? Join your states Air Guard unit. You will probably get better treatment than in the National Guard. If you would like to know more about 31B (MP) or 88M (Truck Driver) then visit http://www.goarmy.com and search for each one respectively, that's if you still want to joint the NG.
