I want to join the United States Marine Corps but Im latin...who can help me and what can I do?

I'm Mexican and I have family members in the Marine Corps, and other branches of the military. They do require that you're a US Citizen the rest is up to you and how far you want to go once your in. Go to your nearest recruiting office and they will tell you what you need to do. It doesn't matter what race you are what matters is that you want to do something to make a difference. What does being latin have to do with serving your country? The marines are in dire need of willing people to serve right now.

The war in Iraq has killed and maimed thousands of marines, and they need new bodies.

As the others have said, you'll want to visit a recruiter. If you're not sure where one is, you can check the phone book or go to the Marines web site and request information.

Well go to a local recruiter and join. Being Latin is not a issue. The USMC is open to all who meet its entry requirments .

sure become a citizen of the Us and go to any of the recruiting office, but a fair warning you gotta be in good shape for the marines, and god bless you for wanting to serve.

It doesn't matter whether your latin, you can still join, I have a bunch of friends that are latin and they're in the Marines. Just go to a Marines recruiter and they'll tell you everything you need to know. Think about it carefully though, know what your going to get yourself into. If you are a US citizen then nothing stops you, you enlist just like everyone else. If you live in certain areas, like the commonwealth of Puerto Rico, they will give you an english proficiency test. If you don't pass it they will send you to Lackland USAF base in Texas for up to 6 months to beef up your english, then on to basic training. If you pass the test then you go straight to basic training.

If you are not a US citizen then you need to talk to a recruiter to see what do you need to do to qualify for enlistment.

If and when you get enlisted, don't speak in spanish unless non-spanish speaking people close-by are OK with it, there is always one idiot that is so insecure that assumes that anyone speaking a foreign language is talking behind his back. And please, don't teach the non-spanish speakers curse words without explaining them what they really mean by it. Some idiots did that when I was in the Army and it is not funny.

When you say you are Latin, is that code for saying that you are not in this country legally? That is the only issue I can think of that would keep you out, based on your nationality. You don't even need to be a citizen, but you do need legal immigration status.

Go to your local recruiter. He or she will be able to answer your questions and help you with the enlistment process. My Marine husband was a recruiter for three years before returning to his "regular job" with the Corps and always appreciated people taking their concerns to him. Good luck!
