No. I had a friend of mine in the Ranger Bat. who's skin was atrocious. He went to Martin Army at Benning and they hooked him up with a dermatologist who fixed him right up. He has no problems now. The military med facs at most bases are pretty good these days.

Acne (706), severe, or when extensive involvement of the neck, shoulders, chest, or back would be aggravated by or interfere with the wearing of military equipment, and would not be amenable to treatment. Patients under treatment with isotretinoin (Accutane) are medically unacceptable until 8 weeks after completion of course of therapy

Not over acne. It doesn't interfere with combat, so you wont get medically discharged.

they'll give you a roll-on for that. A lad I did my Basic Training with had acne, and they gave him the roll-on. within a matter of weeks, it was cleared

You wouldn't be discharged from the army for having acne.
If the army were going to discharge you over acne, as your not yet in the army you wouldn't get through selection as you would fail your medical therefore making you unsuitable for army use! A friend of mine failed to get into the army because he's very slightly colour blind to green and brown (how funny that that's the british army camo colours LOL)
the army would probably give you something to help with it but it's a very common skin condition especially if your in your teens as you get older it should get better!

My brother had HORRIBLE acne while in the Air Force. The docs gave him accutance. His face has cleared up pretty good.

No you wont get discharged because of it, I am currently in Iraq in the army and had some acne problems when I first came in. The only thing itt will affect is when you deploy you wont have to get the small pox vaccination like everybody else thats all.

That's no problem not to join the army! They don't care about things like that! It's not worthy of being medically discharged! It's only spots, Go for it!
Or you could always join the Royal Air Force instead!

You and about 80% of your platoon will have this problem. Medical discharge is not in the cards for this problem. For most people your age, it's just something you need to grow out of. Pro-Active is the best item on the market for this problem, but they might not let you keep it while in training. Ask a recruiter !
