I want to join the military but I dont know what branch?

Unfortunately, a 22 ASVAB isn't a high enough score to qualify you for any branch except for the Marines. However, with a little bit of studying, I'm certain you can do much better. That said, the Air Force is much better as far as benefits are concerned. And, in addition, they're much more relaxed on physical fitness (If that's an issue to you). They have nice programs like the Community College of the Air Force, to make your military training into college transferable credits, and you receive a sub-standard housing allowance if you're stationed on an Army or Marine base. If you can pull the ASVAB scores, I'd go USAF all the way. Of course, I'm a bit biased. ;-)

A 38 will get you into the Air Force assuming you have an actual high school diploma and don't need a credit waiver. You need a 50 if you have a GED and a 60 if you need a credit waiver. Good luck to you though. Hope to see you in the blue. :-)

Angel if you buy a study guide from a bookstore or amazon.com you can drastically improve your score. You seem to be able to type coherent sentences, and you don't seem that dim.

It's a possibility you may have read the wrong score.

To get a job "with computers" you'll likely need something 60+

Well a 27 doesn't qualify you either. I believe the lowest score any of the branches will take is 32. With all the people joining, you'd better re-take your ASVAB and do a lot better than that.

Decisivness

The minimum score to get accepted into any branch for any job is at least 30. I don't know much about computers but it sounds like it be something you'd need to get a pretty decent score on to get (possibly 50-60+). If you just barely get by on the ASVAB you will not have nearly as wide of a selection for jobs.

Minimum AFQT scores for all the branches are as followed:
Army- 31 (50 if you have a GED)
Marines- 32 (barely take GED's)
Navy- 35 (50 with a GED and nothing on your criminal record)
Air Force- 50 (Don't take GED's)
Coast Guard- 40 (50 if you have a GED)

So you don't qualify for any of them. You need to study and get your score up. I know for the Army to be eligible for any enlistment bonuses you have to get at least a 50 and I'm not sure for the other ones.
