I was recently beaten by some dumb animals in the military for disagreeing with them, can i file a lawsuit?

You can't sue the military for what they did, however if you have their names, or have ways to find out their names, you can have them charged with assault and MAYBE sue the marine soldiers for you not being able to work if your broken arm keeps you from working.

As far as restraint goes, I'd say it should have been only one giving you a solid strike to the side of your head, or jaw and leaving it at that. Enough to make you blackout, but nothing that would do permanent damage. My Army point of view anyhow. Telling someone that the sacrifices they're making are the worst mistakes possible insinuating that they are scum because they're brave enough to join the service during a time of war will not bring out the enlightened or open-mindedness you sought from these men. Especially marines for god's sake. They're sometimes brainwashed in bad and cruel ways that make them... different. You'd have been much safer antagonizing army soldiers or airmen if you were going to be not so bright. You wouldn't have any broken bones anyway.

Sure, you can sue them but I will tell you what will happen... you will be laughed out of the court room because you had an opportunity to stop the assault and chose not to.

Go ahead and try to press assault and battery charges but understand you will lose.

You cannot sue the military. First off, the actions of military members while off duty is not a reflection of the military, just like your actions on here are no reflection on your parents, who obviously would be horrifically embarrassed by your ignorance.

And second... this never happened. If it did then that means you have been beaten and slammed into lockers at your health club at least three times since I started answering questions here. Either you are an idiot to keep provoking getting your butt whipped, or you had better ask for your money back because your health club is doing nothing to get you in shape.

The federal gov't has soveriegn immunity, but you can sue them personally and file criminal charges at your local magistrate's office
