I would like to thank our lads and lasses for doing a great job in Iraq and keeping us safe?

Screw what you small bunch of narrow minded yanks. think our boys and girls did the best to there abillity which is 100%.
you let your fellow countrymen down by saying stuff like 'British troops in iraq was a joke' 179 british troops died and it makes me sick to hear insults like that.

sorry for rant i dont care if you report me plus i know not all americans are like this but this small bunch of idiots on yahoo answers have let you down big time.

MTsoul - You mean all the Weapons Of Mass Destruction? Oh wait a minute there was none.
You americans made Iraq in to a insurgent breeding ground when you clobberd in there with your guns blazing and tanks rolling.

superbritainnia!!!
well done troops reading this. putting americans to shame in their own war. each soldier who died serving his country is a saint for his country. thank you and at least we are out now

Brian B
Considering the Americans killed more of our troops in the actual war than the Iraqis did any American who dare to diss our troops should be shot.
Yes they have done a fine job.
I salute all those brave men and women who gave their lives.whatever their nationality.

I agree. I also hate it when people take it out on the troops when they should be taking it out on Tony Blair.

In your defense I heard that the British troops knew how to handle the Iraqi's far better than our own US troops did. There may be a lesson to be learned here.

Air Force Wife
blame the media not the troops

That war was a joke in the first place. We went there because they had weapons of mass destruction, then we found out they weren't there yet we went to war anyway? Then our excuse was to give them a democracy (ironically by bombing them into the ground and killing their families). And for what? Nothing was accomplished.

Isn't it about time we got rid of labour? Brown is incompetent and Blair was as much of a moron.

Its the Yanks who possed to greatest threat to Allied Soldiers, Aussies or Brits alike...reckless *****.

I do not think many Americans would ever put down British Troops, except for the ones who also demeaned our own.
Who are you talking about?

Michael
The British Armed Forces have served proudly, with great Honor and Distinction for hundreds of years. They continue this tradition of Courage and professionalism every day, where ever they serve. Especially in Iraq. Basra would have been a different story, had the British Army not done a fine job there.

Semper Fidelis!

It is unfortunate that a few with mouths that probably haven't even served talk the way they do. I take issue with Active Duty (Allegedly) talking bad about National Guard and Reserve units. Most of the NG and reserve have seen more action than active duty units.

a mouse is not a hotel
i dont report anyone. alls id say is its very possible to be 100% supportive of individual troops who are willing to risk their lives for their country whilst also being against the war in iraq - does anyone these days seriously believe that iraq couldve launched attacks within 45 mins that couldve killed people on british soil? cos that was the reason why we were told we needed to wage war in iraq

i also agree plus even though blair was a git for taking us to war - saddam did need to be stopped

I'm an America who shares you views. Thanks to the Brits for your alliance with us. God save the Queen.

They get little thanks and being they are twice the soldiers that any body in the world can produce, they are always going to encounter jealousy , Well done to them all . I might add a soldier does not dictate policy to blame them for governments mistakes is the voice of a coward and a charlatan. As for American troops i think they have served there country with bravery and honer , I Challenge anybody who says it has all been for nothing Iraq is a much better country now with some hope for the future than it has ever had in the past , and most important we in the west were seen by the Arabs a as bunch of weaklings and pusses that could be taken advantage of and would be to weak to retaliate they now know very different . As Cornall Cadafi found out to his cost.

Here here!!!!
We need to be thankful that they are trying their best to keep us all safe in our country.
Nobody should ever insult our boys and girls!
These people who have an issue with this war, take it up with the government, leave the forces alone to serve the queen and country!

most americans dont even realize that there are other countries helping (even though the VAST majority is american).
its not because we're ignorant or anything, our news barely talks about americans in iraq these days, and i dont think i've ever seen anything about other countries helping out on american news stations.
so blame the liberal conrolled media, not me!
on my side of the pond, if you support the war, then youre an ignorant racist pretty much, in the eyes of all these left wing hacks.
its their fault! i agree with you, but you could throw in a bit more help, in my opinion. we've had a lot more than 179 troops die.

As a British citizen, I'd like to thank our troops for stirring up hatred against us in Iraq... oh wait, that's not what you want to hear is it? Enjoy another 20 years of Jihad perpetrated by bitter people who lost friends and families in an illegal war so we could continue our American-@ss-kissing, oil-hunting agenda. Idiot.
