IMPORTANT-Airforce qualification question?

My boyfriend wants to join the airforce, but heard (from an unreliable source, I believe) that if you have a baby on the way and you are unmarried (I'm pregnant) then you can't join. Is this true?

Well qualifications are always changing. However, if there is legal documentation that he is not the primary or custodial parent then he could possibly get a waiver. He needs to be specific if he asks a recruiter and if the recruiter says no call another recruiter just to double check. Lots of things can be waived to join the AF.

If he has a baby on the way and a marriage is planned it could be easier to just wait until the marriage has happened.

As true as it can get; no one can join the Air Force with a child and not be married.

only if the baby is a female. if it's a male, you are allowed to sign a contract stating that the baby will eventually enlist at age 16 for a 6-year hitch. that will qualify the father to enlist.

Yeah I tired joining the Air Force about 3 years ago..and they told me I needed to be married because I already had a child(even tho the mother & child was living with me)....they also look at your credit as well.
