I may disagree with a lot of US foreign policy, and there may be a certain proportion of americans who are supremely annoying and ignorant, but if hundreds of millions of perfectly innocent human beings were wiped out in an instant then yes, I would be upset.

Dont you consider this to be a stupid question. Think about the repercussions of such as act. Europe would go into the doldrums, (Not much change there) The middle east would be a bigger mess, as the day after Armageddon for the US would spell the end of this area in a big Isreali Mushroom Cloud. The Americans are a large stabilising force in the world, dont write off one country due to the actions of one man, that man being George 'Dubya' Bush.
