If I enlist as 68W with an airborne option will I still get stuck doing inpatient/outpatient stuff?
Find answers to your legal question.

If I enlist as 68W with an airborne option will I still get stuck doing inpatient/outpatient stuff?

I love the idea of being a "combat medic" and dealing with battlefield trauma injuries. I do not relish the idea of drawing blood in a clinical setting or giving sponge baths. Is that basically what 68w does? Would I have a better chance of doing the highspeed stuff if I went airborne?

If you're a male, then your chances of being assigned as a medic to a line unit are pretty great. There are also medical companies that do a wide variety of brigade aid work, ambulance crews, and other medical support, as well as just plain old hospital work. If you are a female, then you will much more likely end up in some kind of support unit doing the unit's health care or some of the duty positions previously listed. I don't see any sponge baths in your future though. I'm not a 68W though, so you could be giving lots of sponge baths.

if you read the 68w brochure thing it says you may be a combat medic or in the hospital it could go either way thats why i didnt sign up for it
