If i join the coast guard in massachusetts will i get stationed there?
Find answers to your legal question.

If i join the coast guard in massachusetts will i get stationed there?

If i join the coast guard in massachusetts, will i get stationed there? because there is a pretty big base here... or is it completly random?

also, are CG benefits the same as other branches?
and how hard is it to get in?

The Coast Guarder
Well it depends on what job you choose to be. You see, the Coast Guard will try to get everybody were they want to serve. When you will apply you will give them your top 10 places were you want to serve. They might need you somewhere else in the country more for a certain job. So you might get stationed there. Or you might get stationed were you want to be. It all depends on what job you are going to do and if other places need that job to serve there. To answer your benefits question, most of the benefits in the CG are the same as in other braches. But there are some benefits that are different. The Coast Guard for most people is easy to get in. Boot Camp is hard physically but trust me, it is easy to survive through it. You don't need much academic level to get in. But if you are a smart person with good grades you should apply for the US COAST GUARD ACADEMY in New London, Connecticut. Contact me if you have questions on that. Well I hope it helped.

all i know is that you have to meet the height/weight requirements which vary depending on size and weight, and pass the physical examination. along with scoring a 62 on the avsvab

Getting in the the Coast Guard is about the same as any other branch, although you definitely aren't guaranteed to be stationed in the state in which you join, although you can put that on your wish list.

You'll get stationed where ever the hell the Coast Guard sends your butt. They have operations all over the world right now. The USCG is actually under the Department of Homeland Security, but they share many of the same benefits will the military. How hard is it to get in? Go see a recruiter, fill out some paperwork, give two pints of blood and your left nut and your in. If you don't have a left nut, then flash em your thong. Or flash me your thong. Which ever is closest.
