he's going to give the worst possible job, or he's going to make you run 20,000 miles.

Thats called disrespect of a commisioned officer. It is punishable under UCMJ. More than likely if you are active duty you will get a articl 15. It all depends on the situation weather it will be a field grad or company grade. If it is a field grade then it will follow you thru out your military career. If its company grade it will not follow you. You will lose rank and have between 2 to 3 weeks of extra duty in which after you finish your work day you will have to do extra work. You are only garanteed between 4 to 6 hours of off time. Under wartime situations that goes out the window, you are not garanteed any rest time. You can lose half of you base pay for up to 2 pay periods. If this is not your first ucmj action you may be discharged as dishonorable. This will follow you for the rest of your life when trying to get a civilian job and any VA bennifits will be lost as well as several other government benifits. Don't do it.

You'll probably go to the brig and get demoted.

can you say " c o u r t . . . m a r s h a l l ..." ?

unless you are a marine, then he'll probably just beat you to a pulp

?
Ready for an article 15 are you?
You could be jailed for disrespect to a commisioned officer.
More than likely you will be given a dishonorable discharge.

that will result in UCMJ action, and if he's good enough you'll get busted down to e-1, 45 days of restriction to post and 45 days of extra duty....but if u really pissed him off....seeing as tho it would be more than two things you'd be getting in trouble for it could be as much as 90 days extra duty...and they can force a forfeiture of pay....

You would be brought up on charges for insubordination and disrespect to a superior officer.

have fun... hope it will be worth it.

You had better sssssssssssooooooooooooooo not let it slip out.
Go to your ncoic and tell them that you are having a problem before it becomes a real problem

Remember this tho' you are not required to LIKE your comanding officer, but you are required to OBEY him.

Erick v
If you told your CO to ***** off then you would be court martialed and sent to Leavenworth, a reduction in rank to private, and a bad conduct or dishonorable discharge and rightfully so. You don't have to like the man but you have to respect the rank regardless. My advice is don't do it because with a dishonorable discharge you cannot get a job flipping burgers or digging ditches much less a decent paying job.

You will be prosecuted under the UCMJ for disrespect and hopefully go to the brig for a few months and then be booted from the service with a bad conduct discharge.

you would first, get a counseling statement, then an article 15, then probably punished with 45 days extra duty, 45 days restriction, and 2 months of half-pay. good luck with that.

If you "let it slip out", be ready for life, as you know it, to get a lot worse. By the time your CO is finished, a courts martial may come as a welcome relief.

flinky990
thats not a good idea... you dont want to get punished. if you have made him angry before,...consider this: those who do not remember the past, are demmed to repeat it.

I seriously doubt you'd receive an Art 15 (much less a Courts Martial) just for telling the CO to **** off. He'd have you scrub the entire barracks down with a Q-tip, maybe...

Babystomper
The CO would glare at you, then glare at you platoon commander, they in turn would glare at you platoon Sgt, they in turn would glare at your squad leader, they in turn would grab you by the throat, drag you out back and have the entire squad give you a massive beat down. Then you would receive well earned NJP for insubordination, get docked pay and be confined to quarters. Biach!

briang731/ bvincent
Did you ever get the impression your commanding officer thinks you're a real sh it bird and is provoking you so you do react? In that way, he can bust your sorry butt and laugh all the way to your court marshall.

Now that you know that scenario, the ball's in your court. Are you going to play into his hands, like a lemming? Or will you play it cool, so he can't bust you? In that way, you will come out the winner. Think about it!

HOOAH! It's an Army Thing
I guess all that training and discipline your learned in Basic Training didn't stick, did it?

If you let it slip, any of the following can happen. A lot depends on what your mission is, and where you are that can either mitigate or exacerbate the situation:

1) You may find yourself charged with violating Article 89, UCMJ, Disrespect toward a superior commissioned officer.

2) You can receive any of, or up to, the following: a written counseling, a written reprimand, non-judicial punishment under Article 15, UCMJ, or a Courts-Martial.

3) Maximum punishment under courts-martial can be a bad-conduct discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 1 year.

inquisitiveme
Don't slip, think you need to resolve the matter. If you're getting a hard time in some way try not to react but act in a positive way to lift yourself up again. It's not going to do you any favours. Be strong, don't let it come out that way. Don't bite your tongue too hard either. Be nice to yourself.

If he doesn't slap you with insubordination charges you will be lucky. Chances are you will be on his S*** list for a long long time and when you go up for promotion you won't get a good report from him, assuming you don't get demoted.

depends on which branch of service youre in,, in the navy ( which i was in) you may get captains mast and get a reduction in rate and at a minimum you may get extra duty or time in the brig if you are out to sea,, if it was during wartime, you could be dishonorably discharged at a courtmartial,, and i wouldnt be suprised if the marines, army, air force and coast guard, would follow a similar regimine,,,, do it at your own risk but be ready for some serious consequences,,!!!!!! if youre civilian like a cop or something itll be different,, if youre a security guard,,, or something,, youre just a rent a cop and be replaced,, i think ive covered all the bases,,,
