If someone has been shooting at you, trying to kill you, is it still WRONG to shoot them in the back?

Are you out of your mind? You can most definitely shoot an enemy combatant even if he is running from you or has his back to you, and not get charged. It is in our rules of engagement.

Hey, your life is/was in danger. He/she tried to maim your ***! They drew first blood! When someone steps over the boundaries, there are no rules, except the "Rules of Engagement!"

Same applies in a fight with another man; kick the ****** in the balls. It is a fight, there isn't such a term of a 'fair fight'! Those are for losers! for not keeping good guard. Same applies in shooting them in the back! You never keep your guard down, never to astray from your target; that would be utterly stupendous!

If someone is threatening your life, I think it's fine to fire back. In a kill or be killed situation, most people try to protect their own life.

no not at all, i hate it whhen people talk about "fair fights" i know its a bit off topic but there is no such thing as a fair fight, most people (like me) hate to fight, i dont like to do it, but growing up in boston every other day i had to fight, if someone is throwing shots at you you go back at them right? so was i wrong for taking out someones kneecap when they were trying to rob me? no, so would you be wrong for shooting someone in the back after they tried to shoot you? in my book you should shoot him right in the back of the head for trying to kill you

You can think it's wrong or right or whatever does it for you.

It would however be in your better interests to shoot them from in front if you can.

Now if they come at you walking backwards with the gun over their shoulder I'd say all bets are off, and have fun telling the judge that story.

quite a scenario and takes a lot of convincing the Police!

If he/she has been shooting at you, that means they are facing YOU!
why would they turn away from YOU and gives you the oppurtunity to shoot them on the back?!

eliminate the threat by whatever means necessary. if they turn tail, thats their problem. By bullets dont care where they hit the enemy as long as they hit.
