Hardest: Texas? Because there are a lot of guns and cowboys?
Easiest: South Dakota? Because there really isn't a lot of people there? |

I don't believe an invasion could even reach our shores. They would have to come by boat of course and with our military tech this just isn't feasible, as they would never make it. But even if they could I believe then it would be near impossible to invade through the south. We are all well armed rednecks that just don't give a ****. If they came through here they would have to land in Georgia, Florida or South Carolina and their just not gonna make it man. Even if we were completely out numbered I know about 40 people personally who could pass sniper school tomorrow if need be, and i am sure we could count on reinforcement from any where. |

Texas would probably be the hardest because it's so big, so many people, and a large percentage are conservative and enjoy their right to bear arms. Rhode Island would probably be the easiest because it is so small and pretty liberal and not many people own guns. If you didn't count Rhode Island because it's so small, then probably Massachusetts for the same reasons. |

Callie would be red before you knew it... and Texas would be Mexican before you knew it.
Think one of the Mormon ones would be the hardest to take unless the invaders approved... those mormons like there guns... artillery pieces and local militias... |

I guess Rhode Island would be pretty easy to capture... |

easiest: California because they're slowly taking away all our guns.
hardest: Texas, they're thier own country practically, could support themselves and got their guns! |

Since California has already been invaded and taken, I guess Vermont would be easiest. But who would want it? Hardest? Alaska. Don't mess with Sarah. |

I think Georgia will be the least likely to be invaded.

If you are scared, just come up into the mountains with us. As to the easiest, wouldn't that be California, I'm not even sure that are part of America still. |

Hawaii would be the easiest, as it has barely and defences and is usually a tourist spot. New York is quite large and has a big population, so it would be quite hard to take over. |

Hardest? Minnesota, hunters, wilderness, close to the Canadian border (meaning near instant allied troops in our state) 34 infantry division, 133rd airlift wing( I think its the 133rd) Fighter wing in Duluth. Marine reserve MP Head quarter, nice winters that wouldn't phase us. Varying terrain.
Easiest? Louisiana simply for the fact they still haven't rebuilt from Katrina, almost all of their guns were taken away.
This is all opinion (and yes of course it's biased because I'm from Minnesota)
(another hardest is any state that has CHUCK NORRIS in it) |

All states would be difficult to take over, because if a foreign force dared to step foot onto American soil (assuming they even managed to get that far - unlikely!), they'd get shelled, shot and bombed to hell by America's overwhelming firepower. They're the world's strongest military for a reason. |

Texas would be the hardest (or another southern state), People in the south particularly Texas are attached to their weapons. Texans have a team mentality and rally together. Plus, it is one of the bigger states.
Connecticut or Rhode Island, they are so small that a surprise attack would be too quick for people to counterattack and rebel. |

The most difficult states would be the south, southwest, mid, the heartland.
The eaiest would be the northeast and west coast.
California and Vermont would greet them as liberators. |

California would be the hardest to take over.
for the simple fact of One man
Governor Schwarzenegger.
The governator would take out the invading force single handed.
I mean seriously the man took a out the Predator in hand to hand combat. |

If they were attacking the entire country it would be a state in middle America away from the ocean's and international border's. No ships could get to it. Planes would have to fly over a lot of dangerous airspace. Ground troops would have to fight their way to get to them. If they could take over states that bordered Mexico, Canada, or the oceans, those residents would be pushed toward the middle making it even more difficult. Id say the easiest would be Hawaii because it's isolated and small and could be attacked from the water on all sides. You could take one island, set up a base then take the others from there. |

Rhode Island would fall easily, while Indiana will last forever.
Go Hoosiers!!! |

Texas would be the hardest, with Montana a close second, because everyone has a gun and knows how to use it.
Pennsylvania might be the easiest because there is a very large Amish/Mennonite population, and they don't have guns. |

I really don't think that would be possible. |

if a nation were to attk u.s., they deserve to get nuked. and if they get as far as taking over a state, then we already lost and we probably already got nuked in the first place. |

That is the beauty of the United States... no state would fall. It would be as hard to take Delaware as it would be to take Texas. Despite our differences we would all fight to the last drop of blood. |

Los Angeles, New York, and any other having a base or a lot of stations with an army will be the hardest. Let alone states that have a less view of laws on guns. It also depends on how much a person is willing to fight for they country. Easiest probably states the mid where there is a lot of free space. |

All of your comments aren't even close I would have to say the two places that would be the hardest to invade would be Kentucky and West Virginia. In both states an average household owns three guns. Not only is that a lot of firepower, but the terrain alone would be treturous for any military to try and maneuver around. I see a lot of people put Texas would be the hardest even though they do have a lot of gun owners there flat land would make them an easy target. |
