will a store more than likely sell you tobacco products even though you might be 17 but since you're dressed in military clothes they'll let you have it?Do you have a chance of getting I.D. Checked?

If you are 17 and in the military and plan on breaking the law (buying cigarettes if you are under 18 is breaking the law) keep in mind that double jeopardy does apply to military since civilian courts and military courts are not a part of the same system. You can be charged for the same crime by both the military and the civilian police. Even if you are Army Reserves or National Guard you are still subject to the UCMJ.
As the other guys said, if you look under 25 then you will get carded. Even in AAFES they will card you if you look young.
If you are not in the military and plan on just buying a uniform or borrowing someone else's uniform, keep in mind that impersonating a Soldier is a federal offense, regardless of the rank that you are impersonating.
Just bum a cigarette from a friend or wait until you are 18 to slowly kill yourself, don't try to use the uniform to break the law. There are many before and will be many after you who will proudly wear that uniform and will die wearing it, do not disrespect them by using it to break the law. |

AAFES policy is pretty much not to check ID when in uniform. Everywhere else will almost definitely want to see some ID. |

It just depends on the store's policy.

Nope i still get carded on Base and off while in uniform. Whether it's tobacco or alcohol |

If you look 17, then expect to be carded regardless. If you look like you could pass as 25ish and youre in ACU's, then most likely not.
