If you could take the troops out of Iraq TODAY, would you?

NO! if we were to take all of the troops out of iraq today all the work that has been done there will unravel and those that gave their lives would have died in vain. its also not as easy as just saying "bring them home". its going to be a process that takes time. when we start bringing troops home for good it's going to take months to get all of them back here. so even if you started taking troops out TODAY you couldn't take all of them out.

No, iraq is not stable enough for us to retreat. If we pull out right now, it would make all the soldiers who died so far have died in vain. Iraq would just regress back to the state it was in before we were there, or worse.

As far as whether we SHOULD have gone or not, it doesn't really matter because what's done is done. You can't change it.

No. Withdrawing fast would cost many American lives. A retreating army is always attacked more, its a fact of warfare. There has been 2 deaths this month (19 days into it). That's excellent concerning before... Also, the 4,209 deaths mean nothing now? No. We stay until we have to leave-> 2011... Then the country will be more stable.

Well, yes and no. people od not hear about this but we are doing allot of good and allot of difference, that is why many different armies got involved, However, we been there long enough and its time for us to leave, not leave cold turkey, just slowly casually leave, we need them here. Its gay enough we had a hurricane here and no troops came to help.

NO.. but what I would do is send 5000 new troups every month, and return 8000 every month. soon, there would be no troups to return. Just a thought.

No, as other had said, we need to stay there till its more stable. We should be concentraiting a bit more on A-stan but I am strongly against pulling the troops out now for strategic reasons as well as for the innocents in Iraq.

Yes - if the economy is so crushed that we are bailing out everyone under the sun, investing money in being Iraq's police officers makes no sense at all. If we are so incompetent that the action of pulling troops out of Iraq causes another 9/11, how strong were we in the first place? I have friends in the Army and in the Marines, so I am not making light of their contribution; I am saying that their contribution can - and should - be applied here in the U.S., where it is a much better use of resources
