What I told my daughter, the night before she shipped out for the sandbox. My daughter enlisted after 9-11 telling me that our way of life is being threatened by Moslem fundamentalist and that I could not expect everyone elses kid to do the job of preserving our way of life. I told her to stay safe, keep her head down, and that I was very very proud of her--her courage and her sense of duty.

This is for all the liberal and anti american people who respond to these questions in a negative manor. You all need to give these brave men and woman the respect they deserve. Whether you believe it is right or wrong that we are in Iraq, it is still other people that are fighting to keep you free and out of harms way. Just because you are too scared to fight to defend this country does not give you the right to get online and tell people they are stupid for joining. I bet most of you were flying an American flag the week after Sept. 11th and were so "patriotic." If everyone had your attitude we would still be english and drinking tea, or overrun by the germans 60 years ago. If you dont like this country please use your rights and freedoms to freely move out and live in another country. Like they say if your not here to help us you are here to hurt us.

The servicemen that I see in town (have only seen men), I tell God Bless and Thank you. I have had the opportunity to pick up 3 lunch tabs and a dinner desert for a family with a man in uniform. I will continue to do this throughout this war which I expect to last a long time..

If the war was just and they were defending their country would be one thing. However as military ( I would wish them a safe return and offering to defend their country is a very brave and noble action on their part.) Sadly, because of the brain washing, many believe what Bush says has to be true. Not the case, Iraq has been invaded to profit Bush, Cheney, Haliburton and their ilk. Many years ago the statement was made that when Fascism came to the US it would be carrying a cross , wrapped in the flag. And it has come to pass.The part in brackets is what I would say to them, The rest is for all the pseudo patriots sitting in their A/C homes trying to sound like heros on the Internet.
