If you served in Iraq do you now feel stupid?
Find answers to your legal question.

If you served in Iraq do you now feel stupid?

You went into the military and thought you had purpose. After iraq you knew you were taken for a ride. Feel stupid?

I do believe Erudite, that you're the only stupid one. You supposedly served, yet you bash our military on a daily basis. You find it easy to sleep under the blanket of freedom, yet do nothing to ensure it. I dare you to get out from behind you puter and go to any military installation that isn't deployed and spew your hatred. Let's see how far you can make it. Better yet, I know a unit got home here today....the buses passed me on the street. You go to their welcome home ceremony, grab the mic and tell them what you think. Let's see who the stupid one is. Your a$$ would be handed to you on a platter.

I once again suggest that you seek professional help for your jealousy and hatred of the real men who serve this country. You can be helped before it gets any worse.

You are awfully brave behind the barrier of anonymity here. I wonder how you would respond to a real soldier in real life. I'm guessing you would be a wimp.

It's not stupidity, it's honor and pride. Do you feel stupid for insulting the men and women that defend your right to say this kind of crap? You should.

I guess you've never had the guts to ask this question of any of the soldiers who've been there. If they all feel so badly about it, why do they keep re-enlisting to go back to help finish the job?

Unlike you, erudite, some soldiers have a modicum of loyalty, integrity, and intelligence.

DiamondDave
For those that have served and are serving... what they feel is pride... not stupidity nor your other favorite word "shame"

You should feel stupid. Have you ever been in the service, apparently not or you wouldn't have asked a question like that. My son is seving in Iraq now and he doing it with pride and love for his country. Go back under your rock STUPID.

As someone who doesn't think we have done our best in Iraq, I think you are an idiot.

Do you know how to carry through on something you've committed to? Whether our soldiers agree with the war are not, they know their jobs and perform bravely.

Why do you want to transfer your disagreement with the present administration to our armed forces?

Have you ever been in the military? I have and we take pride in the job we do. We don't play politics, especially with people's lives.

Pull your head out of your ***.

Our servicemen and women have put their lives on the line to defend the US. They have done their jobs, and they have my full admiration and support. Erudite, you are the only stupid one around here.

dolphinlove_20
It is upsetting to see the amount of ignorance that goes on in this world. Most of the people in the service feel pride for helping their country, even when people like you don't appreciate it. My husband is in Iraq at this very moment, fighting for your damn freedom and you have the nerve to post a question like this. How about thinking of the sacrifices that are being made so you can be ignorant?

That's a good one. Let's see. I volunteered for OIF I, rotated back home, requested to be chopped back in time for OIF II, then spent another six months for OEF.

So I guess that means I'm really, really, REALLY stupid to you, isn't it? Not to mentioned I made some really good friends with the local populace there, especially the kids there. Say, why don't you ask those kids how freedom feels to them?

Smiles_187
That is not cool at all. They are all fighting for a good reason. They beleive in what they're doing. You're an @ss-hole.

Is "erudite" an ancient Greek word for "total and utter tool of the highest order who's only point in life is to waste the oxygen rightly belonging to a more worthy member of human kind"?

I am proud to have served 10 years. You take for granted the freedoms that we provide.

Wow! You do have a way with words. Allow me a little more time to answer this one!

I suspect that the opposite is true regarding your question. Men and women join the military for a variety of reasons. The reasons are unique to the individual. As a result, these reasons have and serve a purpose.

The majority of our service men and women serve selflessly and honorably. They do not choose the time or place of their service. However, they answer the call to duty. Value and admiration must be conferred upon them. Moreover, our support must never wane.

I am confident that there are positive lessons that our military personnel acquire along with the negative ones; Perhaps a greater respect for human life, compassion, respect for other cultures.. and above all, enlightenment. Yes, enlightenment! I am hopeful that our troops will recognize the absurdity of this war and realize that it was our leaders that are/were callous, selfish, irresponsible, reckless, and stupid!

Our troops were not taken for a ride, the American people were!
What's worse is that we allowed the 1st election to be stolen, and then, reelected these crooks. Shame on the 56 million morons that perpetuated the nonsense! These are the people that you need to direct your question to. Culpability rests with them and not our troops! Without their blessing, this adventure could not have taken place. Repeating the mistake in 2004 was the frosting on the cake!

Again, the troops have no choice. The voters do! An uneducated, ignorant, and irresponsible electorate is a more imminent threat than any potential terrorist plot. Unless, this dilemma is reconciled, our troops will be continually sacrificed. That's what is so stupid!

Those who are stupid usually don't feel stupid.

We have all been taken for a ride and lied to. It's not about a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedom". It's really about THIS!...
