at my high school, we had recruiters come, trying to get people. i'm sure you can go to their website, and sign up for a whole bunch of information that they'll either send via mail or email. thanks for being interested in fighting for our freedom.

The Air Force is great. You will love it. Basic training will be both physically and mentally demanding. Take my word for it you will mature in eight weeks. Once that is over the rest is up to you. It will be what you make of it. You can be whiner and complaint your entire tour or you can take advantage of the training and education they provide. You will have three meals a day, housing, plus dental and medical coverage. Swimming pool, gym, theater, hobby shops and a night club all within walking distance free or at very inexpensive prices. You will travel overseas free of charge. You also get a $30,000.00 scholarship at the end of four years. All this right out of high school. Retire at 42 instead of 65. Who else will match this.

I went in for 4 years and ended up retiring after 24 years in the Air Force. I get $38K from my retirement plus $54K from my teaching high school computer science job (got a masters degree while I was in the USAF). I repeat, you will love it.

I have family in all the branches. I signed up for the Air Force because after viewing their experiences that ranked highest. You def. get treated the best. Deployments are shorter. There are a good number of overseas bases in good places. Education, in case you want to go to college, is easy to get. Call the Air Force recruiter and tell him you want a comparision on living arrangements between them and the Army. You'll be surprised. Either way, best of luck.

Dont join either join the Marines.

In the marines failure is not an option, you always think of new

ways to improvise adapt and overcome and you will be victorious.

The marines are trained much harder mentaly and phisically, and

every marine is a rifleman. The marines are much smaller in

numbers so they always have to think of ways to overcome the

situation. And they use there outstanding training to do this.

The army on the other hand is not as diciplend and has a verry

diferent mindset they also do not have the training that the

marines have. examples of the marines great sucess are Battles of

Incheon, vietnam, the chosin Reservoir, iwo jima, guato canal,

iraq, kuwait, al qaeda. But when it comes down to it its really

just different uniforms, different missions but were all fighting

for the same flag

Basic is like going camping for 9 weeks. You should probably shoot for the AF for your first enlistment. Then switch to Army if you decide the AF isn't something you want to stick with. The reason is it's difficult for prior service to reenlist into AF. Try and get in contact with actual recruiters through the recruiting websites. It's never too early to start asking questions.
