why are so many people on here such elitists? people asking questions on here are obviously not as well versed in military culture as those who have served. Yes they will drug test you. i am having trouble finding answers to my navy question if anyone's willing to help. I don't know much at all, so it would be appreciated. |

Yes, when you go to MEPS they'll test you, and then again while at BCT/Boot Camp.

Oh yes,,,,you will be tested for your ASVAB and again for your physical. Keep in mind that once you sign the contract, you can be drug tested at any time, will have to provide a sample withing a set amount of time, will be observed during the collection and can not refuse. If you have been using, you will get caught. And if you enlist and use, not only will you get caught but dishonorably discharged and possibly charged with a felony in the military courts. Stop using and plan to stay off anything...and think about why you want to serve...before you go any further. |

Oh yeah big time MEPS very strict on drug tests, your recruiter will give you one at the recruiting office but its a little cheap-o one that you can buy at walmart, at MEPS you cant drink anything but water till after the piss test, and even a few days before DRINK WATER ONLY!. people fail and have to come back to take it again ive seen it happen
