The minimum to pass a PFT in each category is 3 pull-ups, 65 crunches in 2 min, and a 25 min 3 mile run. This is the bare minimum for each and you will not pass the PFT is you actually get these numbers. You should try to get 20 pull-ups and 100 crunches. Those two will give you a total of 200 and all that's left is to run 3 miles in a decent time. You'll get a 1st class PFT score with ease. Good luck and Semper Fi. |

50-100 Pull Ups, 200 Push Ups, 200 Crunches...and when you run use a backpack filled with rocks, start with 25 lbs, and work up as much as you can before boot camp!
You're going to be expected to not only meet the minimum but a lot more, and those hikes, count on it in full gear which weighs a lot!

You need to build your stamina and have strong legs for all the running. You run, march, stand on your feet alot. Also build up your arms for pulls-ups and climbing the rope. Buy a very good pair of sneakers before you ship-out. Good luck. |
