Combat Engineers are trained to blow **** up and build it (fortifications) from the ground up while taking hostile fire. Plus you get to drive cool stuff. But while your tour you might have specific jobs to do and might not do any of that. Combat Engineers are pretty much infantry with training in in explosives and etc.

infantry

you normally don't carry an SMG...its usually an M16 or M4....or SAW....but it would definately happen as being a grunt....

Matt
Well as an 0311 you can get luck and be the one carrying the SMAW, since they aren't too picking on who they give them to. Those things are some of the greatest breaching eqt. for blowing up doors.
Personally Id say go infantry, but you could always go combat engineer where they blow up a whole bunch of stuff, but you have to build stuff too, which is pretty lame if you ask me.
