Who would be in charge of that police force? Just look at the UN conference on racism as an example. You have countries that think one way, and others that think another, so which is right when this police force is used? Police force or military force without a check and balance would lead to tyranny. Since there is no global government that functions, there would be no check and balance, so each country has to look out for its own and has their own military. Some can build weapons, some just buy them.
Also, you don't even want to go to the question of who would pay for it and provide the actual soldiers... that would probably start wars. |

For policing what?
They have agencies to monitor the amount of weapons a country can have. There are world rules about arms race.
The manufacturers does'nt always sell the same best weapons to every country who wants to buy them.
For example if here is a new type of fighter plane, the US would get better ones and other countries would get a different inferior version. |
