Is It Possible To Receive Orders To Fort Bragg As A 92Yankee Unit Supply Specialist?

With an MOS such as 92Y, do you think I have a good chance of receiving orders to a base such as Fort Bragg? If not, then where are some places you have heard of 92yankees going? And don't tell me that "the army will send me where I'm needed" ... I know that. ... Just curious about whether I have a good chance saying it's one of the largest bases.

A 92Y can go to any post and to any unit. It all depends on what unit's need a 92Y right now. If it's your first duty station and you put Ft. Bragg on your "wishlist" then you have a pretty good chance of getting, but nothing is certain.
I can't think of a single unit that doesn't have at least a couple people who work in supply, even non-deployable units have supply. |

Of course you always have a chance since every unit has lots of 92Y. But you'd have an even better chance of getting to Bragg if you go airborne. But even if you aren't airborne, you still have a slim chance of getting in the 82nd or an average chance of going to one of the non-airborne units. |

Everyone I knew that got staioned at Bragg got stuck at Bragg and the only way they got the heck out of Bragg was to re-up the heck out of Bragg, or deploy or do a year tour and then go right back to Bragg. |

no matter what base ,no matter how big or how small it is they will send you to a unit where your 92Y training will be needed ,if you get sent to fort bragg in N.C.that.s it your there so in short the army will send you where your needed ,and that is all there is to that you can not pick where you want to go to it does not work that way. |
