Is Obama trying to take away military pensions and medical benifits?

My parents told me that the 82nd Airborne in Fayetteville NC is planning a coo on washington due their outrage at the way the country is being run.

I read at least 6 different news sources daily. I even listen to conservative radio being a conservative myself and I've never heard anything even close to this crap. When I asked if this was headline news on TV or in the paper, they said it was off the internet. The Drudge Report apparently. :/

Yeah, I heard that the administration tried to manipulate medical benifits by privatization and it got shot down. If they're trying to cut hazard pay that wont fly either. Anyway, I voted for Obama and I still have faith and hope for him. Oh, I lived in Fayetteville for three years. It is pretty conservative. I don't think we're looking at another 5 Days in May again though Lol!!! USAF Vet. Crazyz.

I would even venture to say that EVEN IF the president cut benefits as your parents said, the military would not stage a coup. Our military men and women are professionals (mostly*), and they follow orders. If pay and benefits were cut to the bone tomorrow, you may see less enlistment, more discharges, but you would not have the military rise up to displace the elected commander in chief.

* I'm allowed to say "mostly". There are a few dirt bags in uniform. I know this because i was enlisted with them. The majority are wonderful people doing an amazing job.

The 82nd Airborne is an elite Army force. They wouldn't plan something so ridiculous as a coup against our President. The President is NOT recommending changes to the military pension.

No matter who the Pres is, there will always be haters. That is just the American way.

Your parents may want that to happen, but that never will. If a military force revolted against the government, the fallout from the other branches would be sick.

People don't like Obama for many reasons, few of which are his actual decisions made.
