Maybe in 20-30 years but not at the moment. The only other country who could challenge America/British alliance is China, and they currently depend on us for Agricultural, economical and technological reasons.

I indeed think there will be another doozer of a war! But, not before God calls His churchs. Then this war will be among everyone against eachother. You wont know who to trust, or who to run from, the "New World Order" will slip into action, and life as we know it will be no more! I hope to God I have my heart right with the Lord before this time comes. I can see it being just a few years away. I do believe having Obama in office he will keep peace for awhile, for America. Then depending upon who's elected after or if he serves another term, I do think something around 2012 will happen. This is what the Myan's belive. The world will end in 2012. There's another tribe who believes this also. I could easily see this happening. I mean with "Global Warming" and our economy not being so HOT, and all... I do not see things getting any better that is unless our countrymen and women vote for T.Boones "PickensPlan" to help with this Global Warming, and to lower our light bills, with WindMills, and he also wants to use Natural Gas, to replace gasoline. That right there will be like getting rid of almost all smog! Just by using Natural Gas, instead of Oil. He wants to do away with this and bring more jobs to Americans through his Billiionaire Ideas!! This man has alreay contributed millions of his own money to put forth his ideas. He's heading to Washington right around the Inaugural Party time, to introduce himself and his army of people who are totally for his ideas!! I wish I could go too! However, if this man gets his say-so with Obama this could do a lot of good for awhile, but in the meanwhile we've already destroyed so much so badly over the past 4-8 decades, that how do you fix everything in the last fazes of life as we know it here on earth, when we've spent so much time destroying it!!?? It depends on how exactly one defines a "Third World War". For a very long time the concept of WW III was rooted in the belief that the NATO and Warsaw Pact forces would engage each other in open conflict in a manner similar to the battles of World War II, but that never happened. Since many still cling to this notion of a world war as one in which to superpowers, or near superpowers, fight each other on various global battlefields then the it would be unlikely that a third world war would break out anytime soon for the simple reason that the US currently has the monopoly on superpower status. In 20-30 years or so the Peoples Republic of China (assume they still exist in 20-30 years) will have reached superpower status in all respects, and then we will most certainly have a second cold war; if that should turn hot then we would have a WW III.

By other definitions though we may already be fighting WW III. If one considers the formal invocation of article five of the NATO alliance then we have been fighting WW III since 9/12/01. Moreover, with the advent of cybernetics and electronics the concept of global warfare such as we are used to - large battlefields, big vehicles, huge air battles and such - may in fact be obsolete, replaced by teams of terrorists engaging squads of cover or black ops troops.

No not at all. first of all after the iraqi war against terrorism proved failure for the americans and british. There is no apparent reason why a third world war should start. There is no reason for it except from a fight against terrorism. I truely disagree with that.
This is because remember when there was the conflict bewteen irish and british. There was an IRA organisation from ireland who was bombing everywhere and killing innocent citizens they were labelled as terrorists yet tony blair could only negogiate with them. He didnt bomb them back. So why would a third world war start.
In Palestine gaza there has been more than 400 killed and 2000 injured and many our innocent such as children and woman. Israel was hoping to stop the "terrorism" but isnt the fact that israel killed so many people terrorism it self. Israel has gone over all the limits there are. THey are failing though. Their reason to start this masscre was to STOP TERRORISM FROM HAMAS. yet even while the israelis are bombing palestinian areas hamas is still sending their TERRORIST rockets that bring fear.
