It sounds to me like you had a visit from the Westboro Baptist Church. They picket soldier's funerals. Their reason supposedly is that the US supports gays, and so they hate all soldiers that defend the US. Twisted, huh? The guy who leads them is name Fred Phelps - he claims to be a reverend but he's a batsh*t insane monster.

No real Christians and no Republicans are picketing funerals or laughing at dead soldiers. Look up Fred Phelps and you'll see.

The extremism that we are encountering provokes people into cruel and heartless acts. It doesn matter if they support the war or are against it. They acted like irrational people. Human life is sacred and the death of anyone is something to feel loss about, not joy. I served as a physician in Vietnam and even the death of enemy soldiers was an appalling tragedy. How cheap people hold life and how low their shame.

no it is not ok to laugh at the death of a solider because he or she is there to protect us in war. Or is it ok to laugh at anyones death , who ever this is the group or the person should be a shamed of them selves they are one of those people that would want ever to cry if they died

It is never OK to laugh at the dead. I don't see how they can support the war and then laugh when a soldier dies. It dosen't make sense.

This is most likely the Westboro Baptist Church and I really doubt there were any republicans in the bunch let alone anyone who supports the efforts of the American Military in the war in Iraq.

It's not a question of it being the Republican way or not! The death of a soldier is no laughing matter! These men and women have families that are morning for their loss of a loved one. A loved one that died defending our country and their rights to carry their signs! I take it that these "church" groups call themselves Christians? NO, if they are disrespecting these soldiers AND their families instead of offering support, that doesn't say a whole lot about their church or their Christianity! A friend of mine just emailed me one sentence that sums it all up......"If you can't stand behind our troops, We'll gladly let you stand in front of them"!!!!!

That is not the republican way. There are republicans and democrats in the military. Anyone who laughs at someone's death is sick in the head. You need to think about the church that you go to and seriously think about finding another church. How could you laugh at someone who dies for your freedom?

First of all, you obviously have not done any research on this group. It is the Westboro Baptist Church and no, they are not republicans, and no, they never supported the war.

You can get all this information just by going to their website and yet all you want to do is lie. EVERY Soldier tracks this group and keeps tabs on it. We even warn Soldiers about them.

The group is based out of Kansas, not Michigan. It is led by Fred Phelps, and it is hated accross the country.

These are religious zealots that are neither Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal. For you to even consider them a part of any political party shows your blind want to see Soldiers hurt and to see America fall.

You should be extradited from this country. I would like to give you a oneway ticket to the desserts of Iraq.

No it's never OK to laugh when someone dies. It is sicken and heartless to do so. I had an aunt that was murdered in cold blood and there were a couple of people that danced and made a mockery of her death. If I was there to witness this sick act, I would be sitting in jail awaiting trial for murder. So, if you think that it is OK to laugh at the death of a person and in front of their grieving family, then you don't deserve to be called a human being.

NO ITS NOT and i can promise you that if you did theres going to be a vet arond somewhere near you and you could wind up in the hole before the soldier. do you think that would be funny?
