Hummmm....let's see....NO! The big green Army as been around for 232 years. I feel every soldier knows when they should get what they deserve. What do you think?

Yup it is fair if they get bumped-up to First Class. --- And stop being a wimp. |

Yes its fair, and you have the wrong attitude. If it weren't for them you might not be here. I'd give my seat up to any soldier. |
|

NSangel

well, would u rather go overseas in their place, or allow them a seat out of respect? |

Quit being a whiny little ***** about it.What do you mean "hasn't this country done enough for these soldiers?" You should be THANKING these soldiers for all they have done for their COUNTRY! What have you done for your country? Think how grateful they must be! Try being in a war and have terrorists and roadside bombs to face..then your "dreaded" coach seat might not look so bad. I want to know what the hell is your problem to ask such a stupid question. You know..you're a waste of time..everyone else is going to say the same thing to you...so..why bother. Shut up you're bugging the world. |

We can't do enough for them, and while your whining thank a vet so that you may... |

I myself would much rather see them flying the plane, actually.
But they MORE than deserve it. They're risked their lives, whether they gone overseas or not. The US needs the military and I greatly appreciate their time and sacrifice. They deserve better, but first-class is DESERVED. |

yes it's fair. considering the sacrifices they make. |

You have a problem with a Soldier getting a "free" upgrade - look at the BIG picture and consider what they have paid to get that "freebie"... they lose time with their families, see friends killed, possibly lose eyesight, hearing or limbs to ensure you (and others) have the freedom to complain about their "free ride". |

No. Absolutely not.
And just what have you done for your country? Besides whine? |

They are putting there lives on the line so you can get on a plane to fly wherever you want. Show them the respect they deserve. |

Yes it is fair!
While you sit in your comfy chair at home, watching the idiot box (TV), in your air conditioned house, with your family, and nobody shooting at you or planting bombs along your path to work, these men and women are facing death every day that they are overseas.
Why don't you enlist to show your support for their ultimate sacrifice?
The least you can do is sit in coach for a little while. If that is your only sacrifice for your country, then you need to reevaluate your priorities. |

if by "done enough for these soldiers" you mean paying them just 7% above the poverty line............well you can go to hell |

Our army today is composed of volunteers who are paid to serve, who on a whole, enjoy what they are doing. There are a lot of perks for service people, especially if they make it a career. Great retirement benefits, respect and gratitude from society. First class seating is just another perk, fair or not. |

I was asoldier and yes it is fair. These men and women are putting their lives on the line everyday so you can enjoy your bag of peanuts on that plane. What is so bad about a soldier getting upgraded to first class. Are you jealous that you dint get the upgrade. That is what is wrong with thenon serving men and women today. Back in the day people respected service members now its like you joined on your own get over it. You know when i see a vet walking in the mall or anywhere and they have a hat on Proudly displaying that they are a vet I say thank you. These poor Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, and Sailors do not get the repect that they deserve and me personally i am sick of it. If I was on that plane and I was in first class and seen a military person in coach and I was in first class I would give them my seat and buy them a beer. Give me a thumbs down I dont care I care about the men and women in uniform so I have my own thumbs up.Dp you know what is like to go to anouther country and get spat apon because your a U.S. Soldier I have been to the Middle East and have been spit on for no reason. These people deserve respect and people today dont give them that. Do you know how far a thank you goes I do. So as you can see I say give first class.
God Bless our Troops and Godspeed
No Thank You |

You better believe that they deserve those seats. Ask that soldier when the last time he kissed his wife or hugged his kid or if it was recently when will he do it again. A nice seat for a year out of his/her life is nothing. You go try living in the conditions they are living in overseas. Many of them are living in rooms constructed by plywood with a curtain as a door. Did I mention that the temperatures are around 6 these days and the bathroom facilities are outside, so you pray you don't have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. You may not agree with what we are doing as a country, but that soldier is doing his job...to protect you and me. |

Hey @$$ guess what last time I flew they were walking down the long "VERY LONG" security line and pulled all of the military out so we could not only go to the front no they didn't do that they took us through a "side" gate that the flight crews go through so we went around the whole line to the front...now doesn't that just tick you off!! |

This country can never do enough to thank its veterans. They sacrifice everything for us. Yes, they volunteered for the job, but they did it so that others dont have to. Thats worth more than a free upgrade to first class. |
|

Just me again ☺
|
You are a waste of skin. Get on that plane an just go somewhere else. Maybe you'll feel better in Iran where you'll have so much more freedom. Hell I'll buy you the ticket,First class so you won't have to whine about it. One way of coarse. |

I would hope any soldier gets bumped up to first class at any opportunity. There is never enough we can do to thank our serving military or our veterans. On a personal note my son was coming home for his grandfathers funeral and a man in first class saw him and asked him if he was going home on leave. He explained why he was coming home and the man switched seats with him. That man was first class in my book. |

not only should they get bumped to 1st class but you should have to serve them drinks. are you really jealous of soldiers being bumped and you aren't? you must be a very, very nice person. |

That soldier protects your right of free speech. Or in your case, your right to whine.
Whine away. You could have joined also and gotten the first class seat you feel is so important. |

They should all be given 1st Class seats, because....they are FIRST CLASS CITIZENS! |

Yes, they risk their lives in the stupid war that is the least they should get. |

Its funny, the second time i came home from Iraq I barely got a seat. Not once did I get bumped to first class....I want to complain!!! |

You paid for a seat and you got one. What somebody else gets or doesn't get is none of you business. What are you complaining about? I think you have too much time on your hands. |

"I mean hasn't this country done enough for these soldiers?'
Why don't you submit this part of your question to the (failed)Department of Veterans Affairs? YOu should get a real interesting response! |
