Saddam killed anyone who opposed him, thought differently than him, had a different political or religious stance than him, etc. I can't say I approve of George W. Bush, but he wouldn't purposely target civilians and maybe if Saddam hadn't stalled forever to let the UN inspectors in, the war may have been averted. Uh, and Saddam did kill many innocents. Kurds, for instance. |

Who said he only killed soldiers? He ordered the gassing of his own cities in 1994 killing thousands of his own people. It is impossible to take millitary action of any kind and kill ONLY soldiers. Saddam is infamous for the mass killings of Kurdish civillians, for their desire to create a seperate Kurdish state away from his rule.
you are completely and totally ignorant of the facts. 10 times the number that Saddam killed in his 30 year reign would be more then the total number of people populating Iraq.
And where I do not support Bush, I think that you should get all of your facts straight before you speak. It only shows the world how ignorant you are when you go around spouting propaganda. |

I'm not a fan of Bush's at all. Really don't like him. That said,
Saddam was a really bad guy. Ab out as bad as it gets. He needed to be taken out of power. I'm not crazy about how things went down, and I do have issues with the current president. But Saddam killed LOTS of people. He allowed his sons to rape women literally on the street. He gassed the Kurds. He is and was a horrible person. The world is a better place for his being out of power. |

I do not agree with the death penalty for anybody and am not the greatest fan of what my country is doing in Iraq either. But let's get something straight here. George Bush has not DELIBERATELY targeted innocent Women and children. The same CANNOT be said for Haussein. |

1. Saddam did NOT only kill militants, he killed hundreds if not thousands of his own people. Military and civillians.
2. I take great offense at your use of the phrase "Only Soldiers" as if being a soilder makes you somehow less of a human. Tho i did not serve in the military myself, many of my close freinds curently are and your ideas sicken me.
I was very much against going to war in Iraq, but that issue is with the government that sent them, not with the soldiers fighting and dieing under that command.
Altho i might agree with you about bush being a contemptable human being, i find you to be much more so. I hope you enjoy your time in hell for the hate you spread. |

he wanted to be tried in his county, in his country DEATH is the only punishment for such a crime. if he had been tried in the USA then he'd have a 50 / 50 chance of living, and if he'd been tried in the UK then there would be no chance of him dieing... in Iraq you dont get told off for say steeling like you do in the UK..... they just chop off one hand.... seems to work in Gulf war 1991 i came across ex deserters (teenage kids and old men) in trenches with the ends of their feet cut off and gangrene up to their knees..
oh and sorry to disagree with you, but Saddam didn't "JUST KILL SOLDIERS" he killed lots of his own people. he dropped chemicals on one whole village in 1989 because one man from thier tried to assasinate him, he was caught and killed, then he punished the rest of the village...
