No. Once Muhammad Farah Aidid got capped in the '90s, the Somalians needed a new source of lucrative income. They already have guns, just get boats and a grappling hook and you're set.
I heard from some Navy SEAL snipers that Somalians explode rather nicely when hit with gunfire. |

You can kill 1000's of them, they don't mourn and put yellow ribbons and cry all day long. I know they will be back to fight you, ( noticed how they attacked the other US ship less than 24 hours after Philips' rescue), I know they are not afraid to die while fighting. A Somali is born to fight and kill. You are living in a world that is so soft you grew up eating cheese burger and drinking Coke. They did not. They grew up with nothing and will not care to die, because they got nothing to loose. They try to get rich or die trying to get rich.
I am not sympathetic to Somali pirates, but as a REVOLUTIONIST I support anyone fighting for what they believe. |
