some radiation, but not all of it. The radioactivity from a nuclear weapon that we have to worry about comes in the form of alpha particles. These dont penetrate your skin, but can be inhaled, and contaminate food and water supplies. You'd die of internal radiation poisoning because of this. |

There are all sorts of radiation.
Ultraviolet light (UV) for instance, can burn skin, but is blocked by creams, clothes- and tinfoil.
Gamma radiation, however, penetrates deep. Tinfoil would just hold your crispy remains in one place.
Oh, and then there's particle radiation. Alpha and beta particles. These are what you get from nuclear weapons. |

It may stop some forms of radiation, but if you are hoping that it will stop radiation from a nuclear bomb, then forget about it. That knid of radiation will contaminate the water and food procucts, and will kill you internally ,by way of radiation poisoning. |

Since most perish from the extreme heat of a nuclear blast and the remaining die from radiation poisoning due to inhalation of radioactive dust and drinking or eating from contaminated food sources, I don't suppose it matters what you choose to wear while dying. |
