It's very considerate of you to thank the U.S. military members for their service. Whether you agree with the war in Iraq or not, remember that the soldiers don't always agree with the folks on Capitol Hill or in the White House either, but they go when and where they're told and they do the best job they can. And don't forget that our troops sacrifice a lot of their personal liberties to defend this country against its enemies so you, the private citizens, don't have to. |

My son is an Officer & I stop & thank every other military person in uniform. Some I can just tell with civilian clothes - they stand & sit up straighter & they say yes mam to me.
I thank them too.
They are always appreciative of support esp after the constant attacks in media & Congress. |

No there isn't, for all that they have done for us over many years, that's the least that we all could do for them. So if any Veterans are out there reading this "Thank you" |

The U.S. Military is not the problem. They are doing what they are told, and doing it well. We should thank every soldier for the efforts they put in and the risks they take to ensure our safety. |

Of course not, I think that we should thank them everytime we can. It lets them know that thier sacrafice and thier dedication is well worth it. I know that my husband really enjoys it whenever somebody tells him "Thank you" It makes him feel like if he is doing his job. Thanks to all the troops and thier families for thier sacrafice. |

Not at all. Now let's give them the money and support they need to meet their goals so we can bring them home. |

War on Terror??? They should be in Afghanistan if they wanted to fight terror? That's where Osama is!
The troops are good men and women. I love them for being true to their commanding officers and following the US millitary's rules. I just wish our leaders didn't send them over there to Iraq because WE DO NOT BELONG THERE!
When you open your eyes 1 day and see that this war does not have anything to do with terrorism, I hope you will help us rally together to get our fine troops HOME TO THEIR FAMILIES instead of being in Iraq getting killed for some lying government officials! |

Of course not. Thank them as much as you feel the need. The fact that they are doing a great job under extremely difficult conditions, however, doesn't make what they are being ordered to do JUST.
No matter what anyone says, they are not fighting and dying to protect our freedom, nor are they really helping oppressed people in another land find their freedom. What we're really doing is carving up Iraq for oil companies to have access to their oilfields, without them having to pay the Iraqi people a dime to do so. Considering that oil forms the basis of Iraq's entire economy, what we're really doing is starving the whole country to death by very slow degrees. It's hardly any wonder why so many of them want us to leave. |

Do thank them. They believed they were helping our country.
But tell them--they have been fooled. Tell them to search their hearts--and then chose their enemies. It may will be they will choose the Lies and the LIARS rather than the innocent.
They have paid the heaviest price for this EVIL we push. |
