They'll have a name for you! It really doesn't matter if your true name is too weak, they'll give you a new one. I went on 2 or 3 field trips in college while I was in ROTC and it was the most life changing experience in the world! I had a great time. I went to 29 Palms and Coronado and they did not hold back! So don't worry about your name now! Just be proud that you're serving your country! |

Don't sweat the small sh*t devil dog. You'll get your chance to prove your not weak during close combat training (Oooorah!!!!). In boot camp everybody's first name is recruit and their last name is some curse word that changes sometimes anyway.

Some of these answers are right, you will get a nick name, and your DI will probably make fun of your name...alot. You won't be called Private until after graduation you will be called recruit Pelli. You should be more concerned about coming up with a good name for your weapon ( you will be required to name your weapon).
