Negative. The 52 survivors of 59 aircraft used operationally were officially withdrawn from service by April 22 2008, having flown for 25 years. A good long service life by any standard. High operational costs and a desire to use the money saved to buy more F-22's ended the F-117's career. It is not accurate to say the F-22 is the F-117's replacement.

One aircraft was lost to enemy action, and it was not by a lucky shot. It was a combination of Air Force complacency and a pretty good deployment of assets by the Serb's.

It was retired last year. The replacement F-22 is being built by Lockheed in Marietta, GA.

The Nighthawk was flown by the 4450th Tactical Group, now the 49th Fighter Wing.

The F-117 which was shot down was over Kosovo in 1999 with an SA-3 missile.

no its retired just like the F-14 is the F-117 had a great service record with being shot down only once, i think it was a lucky SAM missile in Bosnia
