and you are aware of some amazingly good army some where that when it invades it makes everything oh so much better for the country? - Take a reality check and have a nice day. |

Let's see, where to start.
1. Dictator out of power.
2. Two elections.
3. Constitution, that will give everyone in Iraq rights, being written.
4. No more Saddam rape and torture rooms.
Is that enough. Just because two Islamic sects that have been fighting for centuries want to continue to fight, the US military cannot control that. You don't have to like my country, but when the world is a safer place because of us, we do expect a "thank you". |

In fact it is not the Armys fault at all. It is the President that sends us there. He is the one that decides where we should go and what we should when we get there. We are just carring out the orders given to us by our commander in cheif. |

Kiss my Putt!

I am totally with Zebra....it's all the president's men and "w" himself that are making things worse and worse by each passing minute. |

The Army is not like one of these shows on HGTV. They don't go into a country to hang new curtains and install track lighting. They go in to kill people and break things. that's what armies do.
IDIOT! |

Not really the armies fault. The responsibilities lie with the people that run the U.S. and the commanders of the army, not the actual army itself.
Look at the Brits. As I mentioned before, India was the richest country in the world until the British got there. |

no their obviously really good at being soldiers but they have not been trained to be police.
Invasions are never 'good' for a country generally. |

Not the Army just the policies
behind the Armies
presence there |

The problem does not lay with the armies, but the policy makers who send them into countries for all of the wrong reasons. Our army is the best in the world, which is why we are the only super-power left in the world. Our success and failure should ultimately rest with the president. Look at the Balkin war! We led a very successful military campaign in Kosovo, and while things may not be perfect there today, they certainly are not worse. |

The US army is probably amongst the best.
The US President is a fool however as are most of his advisors. |

Military and Politics are two different things. Do you think Generals/Admirals make all the decisions, or only those of conquest?
It's the world's politicians who are supposed to serve their people. |

Our army are some of the best trained people in the world. Granted there are a few bad apples everywhere. It is the people behind what they do in the politics that make things worse. |

Remember: The purpose of an army is to break things and kill people. When properly used, these means have brought freedom to the U.S., liberated most of Europe from evil dictators, and are now in the process of liberating Iraq and Afganistan from evil regimes. |

The army is fine.....they are just sent to the wrong places for the wrong reasons with inadequate equipment, by complete morons. |

I've never understood, killing people to help a country. If you want to help provide aide and a solution. Don't just bomb people back to the stone age. |

Stop watching CNN. We have the worlds best military. |

You seem to overlook the overpowering politics which seem to enter into the responses. This was most evident in Viet Nam and to a great extent in Iraq... When politicos actually abet and aid the enemy (by giving them slogans they can use to gather more recruits) is it any wonder things can go wrong. Proven in Viet Nam and almost being accomplished in Iraq. |

Hey...say what you might against the administration (Bush/Whitehouse) but respect the soldiers that are only following orders (as illegal as they might be/history will tell) and putting their lives on the line every day. There are historical number of amputee soldiers as a result who are paid lip service by the administration and sent on their merry (disillussioned) way to lead their lives. |
|

I have always said that there problems would start after they invaded Iraq. When you are dealing with an enemy that is prepared to blow themselves and innocent civilians up, how are you supposed to defeat that. The world is more not less dangerous now thanks to George W****r Bush and his poodle buffon Blair |

do not blame the army for the acts of our political leaders. |

Don't blame the US Army, they kick azz. Its the people that send them to so many of these other countries that are fuked up individuals |

The United States Army is the most devestatingly powerful force this planet has ever seen. What makes them look bad or makes the situation seem worse is politicans, who send our boys into war zones, never once having seen military combat themselves and not allowing them to do their jobs. These are not "International Policemen". They are trained fighting soldiers and by putting a leash on them is what gets them killed and does not resolve the situation. I guarentee you that if the politicans butted out and let the military personnel do what it was intended to do, the situation in Afghanastan & iraq would already be resolved and Bin Laden and teh Al Qeda network would have been obliterated withing a year of 9/11. |

You are mis-informed. That is what happens when you rely on CNN and ABC etc. for your information. It makes you ask ridiculous questions that make you look silly. |

Its a well known fact that America makes things worse, like Vietnam and now the middle east, the American military isn't even ranked in the top ten because they are all stupid(well known fact). We've saved their *** too many times like in World War 1 & 2,who is saving the Yanks now, once again us British. |

If USA trully want all the countries in this world living in peace they would never put their military army in other countries.....because a lot of those armies become criminals outside of USA....raping, killing, and burnt the houses....like what happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo etc...
useless....wasting money....the government should have trained its army some morals first before trained them how to shoot people and bombing otehr countries..
just a thought :) |

Their arrogance & brutality ruins any chance of winning hearts & minds. They are too stupid to realise that this breeds hatred,& costs the lives of their comrades.Iraq is a classic example. Here was a people crying out to freed from Saddams terror, and what happens? The Americans bomb the country to bits,(except for the oil Ministry),send in ground troops, who murder, rape, & loot, round up thousands of civilians, both innocent & guilty, then torture & humiliate them.Yes,they definately make things worse. |
