To all those who say it was bad, I'll admit it was handled badly, very badly but something had to be done, Afghanistan was, if not directly responsible, knew what Bin Laden was up to and supported it, and if we did nothing the Taliban would still be in charge, turning a blind eye to it all was why it got to the point it did in the first place, again just like prior to WWII, everyone knew what Germany was doing but they all looked the other way or deluded themselves ( see: Chamberlain ) into thinking the could appease them until the proverbial you know what hit the fan, sorry but something needed to be, and still does need to be done, and denying it is only going to make it worse in the long run, get ready to give your thumbs down.

These preemptive post-9/11 invasions are designed to protect America from future terrorist attacks on our homeland - attacks, that, with a little help from bio/chem or nuclear technology could kill 100s of thousands, if not millions of Americans. Al Qaeda, and its affiliates, have had their operations disrupted, their leaders killed or captured, and the remaining ones on the run - precisely because we are in THEIR HOMELAND. These remaining ones can not be given any quarter, any mercy, or any breathing room. As soon as you let up, they will reorganize, as they pervert their religion in order to recruit more extremists, and will plan more lethal 9/11's against America.

One of the worst things this country has ever done. Invading either country did nothing to make us safer or stronger. In fact just the opposite has happened.

I think it is pointless Iraq and Afgahanstan are in a period of civil war. Why in the world are we sending troops over to help people that does not want our help. I think we should bring all the troops home and let them duke it out.

Which means per month deaths of US Soldiers consumption are just 66.66 per month and civilianâ€™s death consumption of per month is 3716, which is so high consumption.

It was good to stop a terrorist aiming nuclear weapons at our head but we got to involved and now if we pull out we will be primary targets and your looking at another invasion then who knows how bad that will be.

Iraq? A mistake. Everyone knows the cited reasons proved to be incorrect, but many still delude themselves into thinking the extra bonuses were enough - guess they're just not used to the idea of their country being anything but the good guys.

Afghanistan? Sure! Everyone was in it - all of NATO and most of America's other allies.

Was opposed to both invasions. The true reason behind Afghanistan invasion is control of biggest cash crop in the world. It was Saudi Special force team that carried out 911. Don't understand politics of that country enough to judge results. From news report it seems supply o heroin has increased in this country. Iraq was a total disaster there is no way Israel or Saudis and USA big oil will allow free Iraq. Hate seeing another person killed for something that will never happen. When Iran incorporates Iraq remember you have George Bush Jr to thank.
