I think the US invasion of Iraq created more terrorists, or people who want to take lethal action against the US.
The primary reason that terrorist attacks haven't happened on US soil lately is because why go all the way to the US when you can kill US citizens in the Middle East?
The US invasion of Iraq was the worst case of abusing US military service members since the Vietnam War. It also took resources away from the legitimate conflict going on in Afghanistan, which would probably be over by now if it wasn't for the little detour Bush Jr. and Cheney took in Iraq.
HOWEVER, the US service members that were killed or wounded in Iraq did their duty, and should be honored for it. |

Besides, our combat death toll in Iraq, for almost 6 years, is less than 2 days' worth of abortions. What does that suggest? |

Nobody ever said Iraq was directly responsible for 9-11.
As for lies, what lies? That Hussein was developing WMD? That was a lie? Really? Then why did the AP report (just last year) that 550 metric TONS of yellowcake uranium was being transported out of Iraq to Canada for safekeeping?
And if it was a lie when Bush said it, why was it not a lie when Clinton, Kerry, Pelosi and many other top Democrats SAID THE SAME THING?

Most of the dirt poor, Islamofascists that were killed in Iraq either came there after we arrived or are too poor to attack an outhouse here in the US. That's just a simple fact. Saddam was probably the kind of leader that most Iraqi's deserved- just look at the atrocities committed by themselves among their own factions. What a waste of so many lives and a trillion dollars of our money. We would be equally safe if we had merely gone into Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan. |
