Maybe on a military base, but not in the cities. Soldiers have sworn to have seen one though. |

Forget about McDonalds, I want to know if there are any Starbucks? Our soldiers deserve the very bust! Anyone up for a triple carmel frapacinno with an extra shot of esspresso? LOL! I wonder if there are any IHOPS in Iraq, if so...do they serve ham and eggs, bacon and eggs, sausage and eggs? Hmmm....? |

I don't know if there are in Iraq, but there are in Saudi Arabia. They are called Medmac's. I still have a clock and some ketchup packets from there with all of the Arabic writing on them. |

When I was in Iraq they were several Subway's, Burger King's, Popeye's Chicken.something called Green Bean coffee?...I don't drink coffee, one Taco Bell at FOB Speicher, Pizza Huts and a couple of other fine eateries. Of course these were all on the military bases. I vaguely re-call a McD's at one of the secured airbases in Kuwait.
When I was still allowed to travel around Baghdad (I was there as as DoD civilian) and to some of the British and Italian Bases they had some unique places to eat. Oh,and if you order a sausage pizza at the pizza place on the Italian base at Al-Hilla, they use hot dogs for the sausage. |

No, but there are Burger Kings and Taco Bells on contact with AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service). They run the BX/PX on Army posts and Air Force bases and the run facilities downrange. There are others, like Anthony's Pizza and Frank's Franks, but they aren't as well known. |

There are fast food American restaurants at the military base in Baghdad. I know they have Burger King and KFC, but I'm not sure about McD's. |

Don't believe there is - and I've been to about 7 different installations in Iraq. I know Camp Liberty and Victory in Baghdad don't have either.
The closest McD's I know of is in Kuwait, at Ali Al Salem. Everywhere else in Iraq is Burger King (assuming the installation is large enough to field one).
If anyone else has seen a McD's in theater, in Iraq proper, I'm willing to compare notes. |
