you need a high school diploma just to enlist in the Navy. Army is the only branch that accepts idiots with GED's. You can enlist in the navy with a Navy SEAL Challenge Contract as long as you score high enough on the ASVAB and pass the SEAL PST , that just guarantees you a spot at BUD/s ( Basic Underwater Demolition School ) however it doesn't guarantee that you will graduate From BUD/s or become a SEAL.
P.S Its Always Spelled SEAL becuase its an acronym ( Sea, Air, Land), not seal, one is a Naval Special warfare operator, the other a marine mammal.

You don't enlist in the SEALs. You enlist in the Navy, take extra tests, pass them all, then beg your Commanding Officer to let you go. Those who fail to accomplish this are stuck on a ship doing a regular Navy job. That's half the people in the Navy.
