Yes. Spitting on anyone (deliberately anyway) is an assault. A woman was arrested just a couple of months ago for spitting on a soldier in an airport.

To answer your question, yes it is against the law to spit on anyone, including those of us in uniform. It's called simple assault. So, before you get all full of yourself and attempt something very stupid, consider the consequences you will incur. You will be hard pressed to find a judge or jury willing to convict a person serving in the military for retaliating against you after spitting on them. Finally, grow up...

How would you like it if someone were to spit on you because they didn't like your hair or your shirt or the way you look? Not very well I should guess.

Why would you want to spit on them? They protect you and your freedoms, if you don't like it you can go to another country where you approve of everything and don't get the freedoms you enjoy here. You can go to a country where they little or no military and the people have small freedom, would you like that?

this is not one of the things that soldiers fight and die for so you have no right to do it.
perhaps after doing so you you could persuade a soldier to fight for your right to spit on them. then you would be permitted to.

I'm a vet, and would gladly allow you to come spit on me. Then I would promptly pull your card, show it to you, then get about knee deep in you @ss. Then, afterwards, I will wait while you contact LE, and we will see what they do about it.

Doesn't matter. For asking such a question, I'd like to see you try. And while THEY can't retaliate, anyone who witnesses it can and probably would.
And if I witnessed it, I didn't see a thing, except someone spitting on someone they wouldn't be worthy of shining the boots of, and then tripping into someone else's fist.
