Is there anything diffrent about fort Knox then any other BCT?

Eyespy, you forgot the third hill called Misery. Ft. Knox is nice because it's an open base, and actually a nice one even for non-military people to visit. The museum is a good example. A lot of different MOS's train there, including artillery and tankers, so there is a near constant sound of gun fire all day and night, although the sound from the rifle ranges can be faint from most of the base. It's also the only base that trains Cavalry Scouts (19d). Since it's the home of armor, you will get a chance to see a lot of different equipment that you wouldn't get to during Basic at other bases. There is also a fairly large contingent of helicopters there which you will see flying around. The terrain is heavily wooded and hilly and it rains quite a bit.

Yes the first thing to notice is the terrain...agony and heartbreak. That's the armor school, and you will notice First Brigade has a lot of them. The Armor museum and Fort Knox (the gold storage) if you get to see it. Right outside the gate going in on your left. And stay out of the woods at night.
