Yes, and it was officially confessed to exist when a group of workers at Area 51 sued the government over an exposure to chemicals case.

SUBJECT: Presidential Determination on Classified
Information Concerning the Air Force's Operating
Location Near Groom Lake, Nevada

I find that it is in the paramount interest of the United States
to exempt the United States Air Force's operating location near
Groom Lake, Nevada (the subject of litigation in Kasza v. Browner
(D. Nev. CV-S-94-795-PMP) and Frost v. Perry (D. Nev. CV-S-94-
714-PMP)) from any applicable requirement for the disclosure to
unauthorized persons of classified information concerning that
operating location. Therefore, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. Â§ 6961(a),
I hereby exempt the Air Force's operating location near Groom
Lake, Nevada from any Federal, State, interstate or local
provision respecting control and abatement of solid waste or
hazardous waste disposal that would require the disclosure of
classified information concerning that operating location to any
unauthorized person. This exemption shall be effective for the
full one-year statutory period.

Nothing herein is intended to: (a) imply that in the absence of
such a Presidential exemption, the Resource Conservation and
Recovery Act (RCRA) or any other provision of law permits or
requires disclosure of classified information to unauthorized
persons; or (b) limit the applicability or enforcement of any
requirement of law applicable to the Air Force's operating
location near Groom Lake, Nevada, except those provisions, if
any, that would require the disclosure of classified information.

The Secretary of the Air Force is authorized and directed to
publish this Determination in the Federal Register.

Yes, but it's doubtful that they have aliens there. I think the alien thing started because they were testing different aerial systems there, things nobody had seen before. Often people are more willing to believe strange, rather than simple explanations of phenomena.

Its not even a question any more. Yes Area 51 exists its part of the Nellis Test Range in Nevada. Google it on google maps and see for your self!

Oh, yes. There really is. The dispute is what really transpires at Area 51. It is a secret US military base. Some believe it is a base devoted to Alien studies, other believe it is a secret weapon base. ie. aircraft..

Yup. "Area 51" is actually the Groom Lake Testing Facility in Nevada, and it's just outside of Las Vegas. The SR-71 Blackbird (fastest plane ever produced for the Air Force) and the F-117A Nighthawk (first stealth fighter) were both originally flight-tested out of this facility. Yes, there are reports that the military is storing pieces of UFOs and alien bodies in Area 51, but there is no proof of that.

yes, untill recently it didnt officialy exist and people who worked(and lived) there could NOT sue them for any damages because the Government said that they did not exist. Area 51 is located in the Nevada Desert, you really cant miss it but if u trespass, u will be shot and if u survive u will be shot again.

Yes. Area 51 really does exist at Groom Lake, in Nevada. What happens there is top secret. We are also led to believe that there are large underground facilities there too.
