I am an Army ROTC cadet. With my battalion I was trained in land navigation, repelling, Visual Stimulation Training ( VST ) and Military Operations in Urban Terrain ( MOUT )
Im sure these trainings can be usefull to a law enforcement agency and private security company.

sorry R.O.T.C. is not considered military experience
private security has no need for these trainings and law enforcement special teams would require you to re-train to their spec.
even the military will require you to 're-train" to their spec. as good as R.O.T.C. is it is civilian and does not carry the same requirements as reg. military. it is intended to give you a taste of military life and a leg up in some areas but will not replace standard military training. |

Agree with connie m...it's military-ish, not quite there.
ROTC is at best a super cool extracurricular. 4 years of on-and-off sample "training" is hardly comparable to 4 years of field testing your knowledge and honing your leadership through combat deployments.
Ask yourself this - if an agency hired you, can you teach these skills to others? Are you confident that if you were the subject matter expert, you'll give out reliable information that will save peoples' lives and catch the bad guys?
The civvies want someone with military seasoning, not someone with a couple of ROTC classes. |

Yes. It will allow you to join the armed forces as an officer when and if you do join them. |
