Would you call this technologically advanced, it was an outrage. This is what we mothers learned during our Yellow Ribbon Support group meetings, while we were waiting for our kids to return home.

Yes they are no army in the world is as good as the US army in reading enemy communications nor are any as good in artillery fire with the possible exception of some European armies. We also have far better command and control of our troops due to GPS for all soldiers. Most armies today are not very different from their WW2 counterparts were as the US army is becoming more like the storm troopers in star wars armored and in total communication with everybody in his command.

Yes, we are by far the most technologically advanced. There is a lot of technology out there in use by the military that is not even discussed. All you need to do is use a little common sense. All of the current military technology that is being used is far more advanced than any other nations. But our habits of secrecy won't permit us to really reveal anything that is considered top secret. The government here as well as anywhere else only lets the people know what they want them to know. I am sure our government knew that when they revealed stealth technology that someone else would find a way to duplicate it. They would not reveal that unless they already had something better that would counter-act that technology if and when it is used against them.

Indeed it is. The main problem, however, is making the technology durable enough to be able to field in harsh environments to often rough soldiers. The other issue is coming up with a way to mass produce a given technology for the lowest price tag.
