But what if someone is already an officer? Is the MOS of mental health specialist not available to them?

Mental Health Specialists are the enlisted assistants to the Mental Health Professionals (Psychologists and Psychiatrists). They perform the administrative and routine support functions relative to the Mental Health field.
If someone has the credentials from an accredited college or university in the mental health field then they would be commissioned as either of the above professional fields, not as a specialist, which is an enlisted specification. |
