Thought I answered that yesterday-no you can have her i have no use for her. I will look up my answer from yesterday and copy it-don't want to get upset again and thinking of her seems to do that.
The question was How do you feel bout Hanoi Jane:
Yes still do and will forever. Never seen a movie of her and the worst thing she ever did was her apology which boiled down to I did nothing wrong and every one just misunderstood what I did. Sitting and having a PR picture made on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot at American aircraft is hardly misunderstood and the turning in of the names of POW's who passed her there names so she could tell there families who they were; yes they got tortured for that but again I am sure it was just a misunderstanding-she thought they would get an extra meal for it. She is a traitor and should have had her citizenship revoked and forced to leave the country. No it is not a freedom of speech issue when you give information to a country you are fighting and it causes harm to other Americans-it is and was treason. In case you can't guess I am a Vietnam veteran |

I can't wait for the day I put the news on and hear about her horrible, long, slow, agonizing death. That would still be better than what she did to our POWS in Hanoi, F**king traitor.
Is that clear enough? |

I know one Vietman vet and he hates her guts because she was lying about living conditions of POWs
I heard this story on another occasion too, in a company of people not acossiate eith the military.
It seems to be a very popular anecdote |

She never should have been allowed to come back to the U.S.A, after she showed her preference for the vc. She should be living there now as a traitor to her country. |

Hanoi Jane is Hanoi Jane, and always will be. That is a distinction she will bare through out history. As the Viet Nam baby boomers retire , mature and try to move on, she will always be a hard pill to swallow, given all that is thought and wrote about Viet Nam and our disrespectful homecoming. There is enough about the SDS, "Students for a Democratic Society", Tom Hayden her Husband, Draft Dodgers like Pres Clinton, Cowards of Canada and the fact that the poor went to Viet Nam and the privileged stayed home on campus and burned their draft cards. {they are the same ones today calling for a re-reinstatement of the draft.} and then some came home like Kerry and switched to the other view point, but he being part of the wealthy elite could financially afford to turn on fellow Soldiers, Sailors Airmen and Marines. People like Hanoi Jane and John Kerry and Pres Clinton just cant identify with normal thinking people. The irony is: Pres Clinton, who his mentor ,Pres Kennedy was the one who started Viet Nam cooking and Clinton dodged Kennedy's draft and then years later tried to identify with him and ride on his coat tails. I have no ill towards the Kennedy's, either John or Bobbie, but Teddy is another subject all by itself. So..I feel the same about Fonda as I do about Kerry, Clinton,SDS and the entire Canadian Coward experience.
I can forgive....I am not perfect.... but I will not forget

I will not lower my Marine bearing by answering this question. We had a lot to say about her, but I would not last one minute here using the words I would like to use.
After all these years, like some of my fellow Vietnam vets we just consider her "dead" and just another part of history we would rather forget. |

.This is one mole hill I have no problem piling the dirt on.
I know I will have to pray for forgiveness when I get through.
She is a disgrace to the decent women of the world, She is traitor and should still be somewhere in a federal prison. I think she shouldn't even be allowed to visit ,much less live in this beautiful America of ours. Along ,with some other just as bad as she is.. If I ever met her face to face, well you just take a guess as to what I will do. She is the only person I know of when she gets old and dies, I could care less. I was right , now I, have pray Merry Christmas |

I am spouse of vietnam vet (combat, hit twice.... survivor guilt......)
I don't like name-calling, so I just boycott (never bought her aerobic videos, watched her movies, except "they shoot horses don't they").
For the most part it is a name we do not mention in our home,
I have read testimonies of vets who held unforgiveness toward her for years, and once they finally let go of it they were free. |

She's opinionated, and entitled to be so. That's what we all love about this country, our right to express our opinions. I'm not that crazy about her and think that so much crap has been coming out of her mouth that not enough is going in to her brain. She's on another fad - this time she's a Jesus freak. Next decade, it will be something else. Only then, she won't matter at all. The decade after that she'll be dead from old age and the world won't even notice. |

I am a retired B52 pilot from the Air Force. Many of my close friends were guests at the Hanoi Hilton. Some may have been shot down by the very anti-aircraft gun Hanoi Jane was sitting in. My best friend was number two on the list of names that Hanoi Jane gave to the jail commander. He was tortured steadily for three weeks. His shoulder is still out of whack.
I went to a military high school in Naples Italy. My father was an Air Force Major assigned to NATO South. In my graduation class there were 70 students. 40 were boys. 25 have their names on the Vietnam Wall in Washington DC. I have never gone to see it. I have been to DC many times. But the thought of seeing all those names, names I knew, all in one place is not something I can do.
Hanoi Jane has my contempt. Every year since she was in Hanoi I have written the Department of Justice and the State Department. For the DOJ I point out there is no statute of limitations for treason and why hasn't she been arrested and tried? For the State Department I ask since we were at war with North Vietnam and she went there on her American passport should it have not been revoked? Should she have been tried for entering a belligerent country illegally?
I have never fired a gun in anger. I would gladly stand in the firing squad for Hanoi Jane. I am now a 100% disabled veteran. I go to the VA Hostpital at least once a week. I am sure I can get at least 3 or 4 thousand other volenteers. |

Sometime ago, some guy said that the military lifted his military base access. Apparently they'd cracked down on security and anybody with any kind of criminal record got the boot. Now he'd bee in the military. He told them of his history, so it wasn't something he'd done wrong except for that one lapse of judgment some years before.
My reply to him was, "Sometimes we can never escape the consequences of an error in judgment."
I don't know if Jane Fonda consciously intended to support North Vietnam, or if she was (and perhaps still is) just one of an incredibly large majority of empty-headed actors and actresses. She made an error in judgment that will follow her and her name beyond the grave... perhaps forever.
Protest was "the thing" back then. It was "cool." I'm sure some kids protested only for that reason. Some may have thought it was the way to right what they saw as a wrong. In some areas, Berkeley, California, for example, protest was somehow linked to intellect. Some kids may have climbed aboard the band wagon for that reason.
Technically, anybody who gives aid and comfort to the enemy is committing treason. Treason is, an should be, a capital offense. It doesn't make any difference if "one doesn't know," if "one's not aware," if one is "sorry," if one "believed what he or she was doing was right," if they "had their fingers crossed," or if "they were exercising their Constitutionally guaranteed freedom of expression." It doesn't make any difference whether before and since they've been model citizens. They're traitors.
Men have been captured and tortured... and some have died... rather than make statements against the country they love, or to give military information to the enemy, or in any give them aid and comfort. Yet a large number of people, mostly civilians do it freely, apparently intentionally. I knew one guy in the military that did and got a dishonorable discharge. He' not repentant. He still thinks the military was unfair to him. He made a bad judgment call... and blames the military.
As I said, I don't know if it was a bad judgment call on the part of Jane Fonda, I don't know if it was a bad judgment call on the part of John Kerry, I don't know if it was a bad judgment call on the part of Bill Clinton, I don't care if was bad judgment call on the part of the Dixie Chicks, I don't car if it's a bad judgment call on the part of Cindy Sheehan, I don't care if it's a bad judgment call on the part of the thousands of protesters I see and hear, the media that reports it, or the Congressmen and women who proclaim it. I don't care if it was a one time thing for which they're sorry. They are all traitors. They at least need their citizenship revoked. If they want to be in this country, they need to find out what it's like to be a citizen of this country. They need to go through the long process of applying for citizenship, attending classes, and, maybe one day when they've learned that lesson, stand up publicly and swear their allegiance to this country. Then they can expect to be considered for jobs, property ownership, voting privileges, educational benefits, medical and dental services, drives licenses.
Or they have the option of execution. But mandatory execution should be the sentence for anybody who intentionally gave aid and comfort to the enemy. And if somebody has a problem executing that sentence, I can tell you of a whole lot of Vietnam Vets who will be willing to do that job for you. And, if those protesters and supporters of the enemy persist, I daresay there will be a whole lot of Middle East Vets willing to do the job.
Sometimes our errors in judgment follow us forever. |

I don't care one way or the other about Jane Fonda. I do care about the criminal, coward chickenhawks in the gray house that are destroying amerika. but you don't. Let's worry about Jane Fonda - the fascists will take care of her when they finally gain power and the time comes. |

I was there. PH and BS for Con Tien July 1967.
Jane was right in her conclusion that we had no business there, though her adulation of the NVA and public criticism of US military was shitheaded and she has apologized many times for that criticism.
I bear her no ill will whatsoever. |
