My brother loves his job, he's a flight engineer on a KC-10. I wouldn't be good in the military, can't follow orders. It can be a good life. Make sure if you have a significant other that you talk to her to know if she would be ok with the moving around.

I would definetly go into the military if i am not able to go to college. Right now, i am unsure about the possibilities of me getting into college, and i am seriously considering the military. my brother is in the AF right now as i am typing this, he is going to school in TX to study for a high-security job. I will tell you something that holds very true, the military will take care of you, and your family even after you retire. My dad served in the military for 20 years and now recieves a retirement fund, a fair annual income, free medical, and they will always provide you with a shelter. The military is a very good choice, and i wouldnt go any other way enless i have a very successful career already.

Also, if you do decide to go into the airforce, do not let the boot camp discourage you! It is a physical and psychological test that you must overcome, and you will feel very happy once you do

good pick. what job you looking for in there ? check out the hot jobs they have. such as security forces ( police ) or other hot jobs. plus a lot of those have nice sign on bonus and if you have college hrs you can enter in w/ rank.

The Air Force is not a bad choice. I am in the Army. Just do not believe the hype that the Air Force is higher quality than the Army. I am a Signal Soldier, I have been to an Air Force school and did quite well. People in the Air Force are not smarter than other branches. Just remember one thing, we all work for DOD, so you could be placed in an Army unit and deployed to Iraq. I have seen it with my own eyes. I did do it! I decided to go into the National Guard instead, because I am pursuing my Bachelors Degree. It's a big step in your life and you'll have awesome benefits. Going active duty you'll always have a steady income, medical benefits, 100% tuition, money for food, shelter, and so much more. You just have to be disciplined and dedicated to your country. If you do decide to join your career is what you make of it. I think it's great that you would even consider and you definitely should. Interested in the guard check out the link below. :)

I use to be in the forces previously for 8 and half years but left in the end, those were the days when you were young and think the forces can provide you a challenge career.

It really depend on your interest and enthusiasm level it may die down as the years goes by as life in the forces can be quite routine.

If you able to accept the regimental concept and ascertain that your level of enthusiasm is always there then you are sure to go for it. Give it a second thoughts for your character first before making a final decision, that will really helps you in decision making. No matter what, all the best to you.
