I suffered from an MRSA staph infection while serving in the Marine Corps. The staph infection was getting worse and worse and the Corps was not taking care of it, even after bringing it to the attention to my chain of command. I had to go UA to get the proper medical attention, and when I returned I received an OTH. I want to join and correct my wrong doing. Is it possible to do enlist? I know that even though what i did was for my own health, it was still wrong.I have all the paperwork to support my actions. I want to join and serve my country. Has anyone joined with an OTH?

I want to join and serve my country. Has anyone joined with an OTH?

You need to look at your DD-214 and find out what your discharge code is. This will tell you weather or not you can reenlist with that discharge or if you need to appeal it. As long as you do not have an RE-4 code on your DD-214 you should be able to reenlist. Weather or not the recruiter is going to want to spend the time to reenlist you is another matter entirely.

You cannot re-enlist in any military service with an OTH.
And your excuse for going UA does not fly. If you had a medical condition you go to sick call - and if necessary appeal to the IG if you are not getting medical care. |

Your done with the Military. You are full of poop, you don't get an OTH in because of a med issue. |
