i'd say north korea. According to Western estimates, North Korea has the fifth-largest military in the world, with the largest percentage of citizens enlisted (49.03 active troops per thousand citizens). The North has an estimated 1.08 million armed personnel, compared to about 686,000 South Korean troops (and 3.5 million paramilitary forces) plus 29,000 US troops in South Korea. Military spending is about $5 billion USD.[1] The North has perhaps the world's second-largest special operations force (55,000), designed for insertion behind enemy lines in wartime. they can cause major damage if diplomacy isn't achieved. hopefully the next adminstration can achieve this.

Neither Korea nor Iran.I think that the major threat for the rest of the world is the U.S.Because they have better weapons, they don't care about the other countries and the other people.

USA is more dangerous than the two country mentioned. They can attack any country in this world by creating some inciddent through CIA and Mossad.

I think Korea is pretty dangerous. Although you'd never know it from listening to Bush. He seems way too preoccupied with the middle east right now. Hope he gets his head out of his a s s and realizes that there's a bigger threat out there.

Unfortunately both countries are loose cannons but I think that Iran is the greater of the two problems.

N Korea is chiefly interested in making its voice heard in order to influence the price it pays for oil. It's already armed and showing off but I don't believe the N Korean leaders are blind to the fact that they would stand virtually alone, (and would not last long,) if it ever came to a show down.

Iran is still in doubt... their program is still developing and if we can't get them to come into agreement with the rest of the nuclear world, or influence a change in leadership, they may cause some real unrest and instability in their part of the world - Unlike N Korea, a nuclear Iran could have quite a few allies standing with it, albeit that some would be without officialdom, like the terrorist organizations. In any case, where the likely rub would be the fate of Israel and a demand for a Palestinian state, I would be afraid to lay bets on how very unpredictable and volatile Iran could become... there's just no telling what could happen.

The United States of America, my country, has had nukes for 60 years and we've used them exactly two times - both events were 60 years ago, ( at the dawn of the nuclear age,) and both events were in situations of outright war.. ! Wise up..!! The US is more than trustworthy to do what's right with it's nuclear weapons... it is, in fact, the gold standard of nuclear trustworthiness, nuclear safety, and nuclear responsibility.

Iran is bigger threat due their influence on Militant Islam groups (terrorists). With just a little plutonium in a suitcase they can create havoc in almost any country in the world and don't even have claim responsibility for it.

I am not aware of any Korean terrorist groups with a world domination religious vendetta.

To the rest of the world? Iran. Why? Because the regime in Iran (not necessarilly the people) *the regime* has the totaltarian idealogy that is in direct conflict with the western ideals of democracy. They have no respect for human life unless the humans are exactly like them. They are known sponsors of terror and they have the most to gain in that region of the world. They want to OWN the MiddleEast. If they control the MiddleEast, they control the rest of the world. They also have the financial ability to be the highest bidder to any rogue group or government that possess the nuclear technology to accomplish their goal. By far they are the bigger threat.

North Korea, while a direct threat to the United States is no threat to the whole world. That little dweeb in North Korea wants one thing. He wants to extort money and technology from the United States and is waving his "arsenal" around hoping to intimidate us into placating him. It won't happen.

I don't believe that the west is afraid of anything. I believe that the West is attempting to play by the rules and come to peaceable conclusions with both countries. The proof is right there in front of the rest of the world to see this. Unfortunately neither of these countries play by the rules and the lack of pressure from the international community isn't helping. The majority of the rest of the world is turning their heads the other way allowing both of these countries to play a very dangerous game.

Incidently, you can't be a much more soft target as North Korea is. If we are going on the premise that the Americans only fight those who can't fight back, North Korea would be but a distant memory.

And... to make things even more interesting you have China just off the radar awaiting their turn. China is the one WE ALL should be watching.

Korea is said to already have 7 or more nuclear weapons. They're working on delivery systems. Iran is starting to make plutonium, and it's less clear whether they have a weapon yet. I think if they did, they would have announced it. So Korea is the more imminent threat in my view.

I dont know about Korea but surley Iran is no danger for the world.their atomic projects are peacefull and when they talk about Israeil they want diplomacy not war(palestinians vote to accept o reject Israeil).
