Lebanon didn't attack Israel. The Hezbolah attacked Israel. It's not the fault of the people of Lebanon that Syria occupied their territory after the civil war. It's the not fault of the people of Lebanon that Syria placed the Hezbolah on the Lebanese-Israeli border. It's not the fault of the people of Lebanon that Syria armed the Hezbolah and gave them a mission to attack Israel.
So, who should Israel have attacked to defend themselves from the Hezbolah? Maybe they should have attacked Syria instead. Or Iran (who also supplies Hezbolah). But then, that would be fighting back against someone who stood a chance of defending themselves, wouldn't it.
Just look at the numbers - more than 10 times as many Lebanese were killed as were Israelis. That's like executing a killer (Hezbolah) and his entire family (Lebanese civilians) for a single murder.

i don't care how you boil it,cook it fry it and bake it,all i know is that the capture of 2 Israeli soldiers does not justify the barbaric murder off over one thousand women and children.Israel in that month lost it's moral compass and emboldened it's enemies.i don't need to remind you that this is not the first time Israel has faced off with Hezbollah and come up short.

Lebanon supposedly has an army, why wasn't lebanon sending their troops in to eliminate hezbollah, if they did isreal would not have entered lebanon, and if I wa a soldier I would hope they would come for me. Hezbollah wanted to start somthing and firing missles / grenades from civillian populated areas was their hope isreal would not attack them, for they used ivilian area as sheilds.

Maybe next time lebanon should not let hezbollah do what they want then the kidnappings would never have happened
