MEPS PAPERWORK...MILITARY PERSONEL PLZ HELP!?

I'm 20 years old planning on joining the Marine Corps. I've had a minor knee surgery when I was 16 and my tonsils taken out when I was 8. My recruiter instructed me not to put that in my paperwork at MEPS. I've already taken my two trips to MEPS (ASVAB and physical) but i haven't been sworn in because I have to get a hearing waiver. I already have the hearing waiver coming but I want to get my previous medical history in my paperwork since a waiver shouldn't be hard to get for those but if its not in there and they find out am I screwed? Can I get it in there now or should I just not worry about it?? HELP!!?

My experience in the military tells me not to lie to them. I saw a couple of people removed for not being honest about their criminal records. I suspect medical is different but you’re joining the Marines, you want them to know about your knee in case something comes up. Id say it’s better to have it take more time to get in and deal with the paperwork than to be dismissed over something that they wouldn’t refuse you for if you would have been honest about it.

the reason the recruiter tells you not to put it down its because he wants to make sure you get a chance, the marine corps is at max occupancy right now so anything that could possibly hinder your chances (ie you and another guy are competing to go, he doesnt have surgery on file and you do, they might choose him as the better bet)...the tonsils dont matter but the type of surgery on your knee could if it was something that could present a problem in the future...marines pt a lot, and if you have knee problems you could possibly get seperated for medical...you need to figure out if the problem with your knee will resurface or if you are at 100 percent funtionality...especially if you deploy you will be considered a liability if you cant hike with a pack, run while wearing 100 lbs of gear etc.....i would find out the severity and then tell the MEPS about it and see what they say, if you dont put it in there you run the risk of them finding out and you get kicked out for fraudulent enlistment

your tonsils are nothing.. it never happened haha:)
as far as knee surgery.. do you ever have knee pain? can you sprint for great distances without any pain in that knee? if it hurts at all you best be bringing that up, however, if it dosent hurt or stop you from running 3 miles in 18 mins just keep quiet about it. thier not gonna find out, if if somehow they do, they arent going to do anything. that fradulent enlistment is bs. you;ll get yelled at..but your gonna get yelled at all the time anyways haha:) good luck
